Dear beautiful Firefox community,

I am using the add-ons DownThemAll! and Turbo Download Manager for Firefox. They work a charm if I right-click a link to a downloadable file and select them from the context menu (shell extension). Especially when I am in places with poor connectivity or slow wifi I depend on these add-ons to remain able to work. Please refer to the attached screenshot illustrating the process.

However, there are many websites where downloads are started automatically or where the link to the downloadable file is somewhere hidden behind a javascript, so when right-clicking on the download link to a file and selecting "save link", I am ending up downloading a html-file instead of the actual file.

Is there a way for me to have all downloads automatically run through either of these add-ons whenever I click on a download link?

I am having problems installing the Malwarebytes Browser Protection add-on. When trying to install from the add-on site I get a message "Download Failed, check your connection". I have managed to install this add-on previously but I accidentally deleted it by mistake, so I know that it is compatible Firefox version 86. Other add-ons that I use downloaded without problems. Two methods that I have tried to rectify the problem is refreshing Firefox and restarting Firefox with the add-ons disabled to see if there were any conflicts. This didn't help.

Does anyone have any suggestions

I tried installing Firefox 56 on Mac Big Sur. But it is impossible to make settings.

1. Disable automatic update: about: config app.update.auto app.update.enabled I get an alert (blank error message) and I cannot exit Firefox.

2. Install an older version of the iMacros extension http://download.imacros.net/imacros_for_firefox-8.9.7-fx.xpi Cannot use this extension.

May be a write permission error somewhere ?

How can I trigger Firefox to check for updates via a command? We have FF installed on users' computers, but some users never use it. I would like to be able to trigger the FF updater to check for updates on a regular schedule. If FF is being used, then it would alert the user of the need to restart as usual. If not, then it will just update itself.

This would be for both Windows and Mac

Firefox 32bit install to C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox When upgrade to 64bit using msi file, install to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox. I need to switch the profile manually. New profile created because of install directory is difference.

Is there any automate feature to migrate my previous 32bit profile without switch manually after update 64bit ? Other than Firefox account sync and legacy profile enable.

Hey there, i want to download file from Gdrive but i can't. If i not wrong, couple weeks ago i try to download file from Gdrive but when i clicked download, it happen nothing. i try to googling and got suggestion for allowing cookies from googleusercontent. But nothing help at all. So i have to switch to my windows again.

And today i trying to download file again but it still not working too. I provide GIF recording below this.

Oh ya, i'm using latest version of Firefox on Linux Mint 20 Cinnamont.

I get announcement about new FF updates but they don't download & install. they never have.

i saw this topic - "Re-enable multi-process support disabled by Windows utilities" and thought i'd try it.

first direction is about:config -> "Look for the accessibility.loadedInLastSession preference"

that isn't in the accessibility list on my machine. (Win 10 x64). so maybe that IS linked to whatever my problem is. ...

I downloaded Firefox (86.0.1) on my Mac laptop and on my Mac desktop - both running the Big Sur v 11.2.3 I imported data from Safari and the bookmarks are mostly okay but I did not get the login passwords. I added a few passwords in my laptop but they will not sync to the desktop. I added a profile photo on the desktop but it doesn't show on the laptop. They are both signed in under the same email account in Firefox. But the syncing isn't working. Help. Alan

es ist seit kurzem nicht mehr möglich, Updates vom Firefox zu installieren. Ich kann noch nicht einmal über Mozilla.org den aktuellen Firefox herunterladen, da beim letzten Schritt (Beim Aufrufen dieses Links: https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/87.0/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Installer.exe) die gesicherte Verbindung fehlgeschlagen ist... Ich habe in den Internet-Optionen jede einzelne TLS und SSL Version aktiv, trotzdem ändert sich nichts daran. Hat jemand einen Lösungsansatz dazu?

Bonjour, je suis utilisateur Firefox depuis longtemps, hier je me rends compte que le logiciel a été supprimé et réinstaller sans me rends compte de ça !!!!!!! j'ai beaucoup des mots de passes enregistrés et des sites web très intéressant alors que je ne souviens pas de ces passwords et je n'ai pas un compte Firefox avant !!!!! dites moi comment faire pour récupérer mes donnes favoris et surtout mes mots de passes identifiant enregistres !!!!!!!!!!!!

Beferoe i installed new Windows OS i synchronized FF in the menu with FF Account. After installation new OS i logged in FF to my account and it does not synchronize anything?

My client still has a Citrix farm built with Windows 2008r2 servers (no kidding) and is requesting Firefox is made available to users.

Q1 Does the latest version of Firefox ESR support Windows 2008r2 servers? I have reviewed the system requirements for the latest version and I cant see it does or does not support 2008r2, I just need clarification please.

i have observed the following issue.

When i start BIT Transfer with Powershell and then opening Firefox or putting firefox in foreground the BITS transfer stops.

How to reproduce: open windows Taskmanager to observe network load open Powershell execute a BITS Transfer e.g.:

Start-BitsTransfer -Source http://ipv4.download.thinkbroadband.com:8080/1GB.zip -Destination C:\temp -Asynchronous

Now in Taskmanager there should be some network load visible

Now open Firefox or put firefox in foreground-> BITS transfer stops working Putting firefox in background-->bits transfer continous

I don't know why this could happen or how to further analyse this problem. Is this maybe due to any setting in firefox(i already disabled all plugins and add ons)

Any ideas?

I have an old FireFox profile (from 2013-2014), I'm trying to copy it from my timemachine so I can view my browsing history. I've successfully migrated the old profile by creating a new one and then copying the old data into the new.

When i reopen firefox, I notice the "places.sqlite" gets rewritten to "places.sqlite corrupt". I can only view my bookmarks, but not my history.

Any suggestions as to why this might be happening? And anyway to resolve this issue through FF or a third party app for mac?

Recently, Firefox started crashing when i tried to open it. I made the effort to try to reinstall Firefox, but the installer crashes midway through. Now, I can't install it at all. I can uninstall whatever halfway-installed version of Firefox is downloaded, but nothing sticks. My antivirus hasn't picked up anything of note.

What's going on?

Trying to install/run Firefox on new iMac.

Downloaded the most recent version. Clicked on installer icon. Dragged the icon to app folder. Seemed to install. Ejected installer. App folder shows only a 2k alias,,,no "program". Click app icon. Installation icon reappears on desktop and process starts all over again!!!

On old iMac the app shows as a 375Mb application!

Any help would be appreciated as I have no hair left to pull out.

PS: the iMac won't let Chrome run either. Says it can't be opened because Apple can't check for malicious software, even though install process verified the disk image!!!
