I have my ... what do you call it? ... GTK? set up to widen the scroll bar when I hover over it. Problem is that it widens *before* the mouse cursor has moved onto the narrow bar -- it widens as soon as the cursor moves onto the territory that *will be* on the wider bar and thus, if there's a click button at the very edge of the page, it gets hidden by the expanded bar. Would it not make more sense to only expand the bar if the cursor actually moves onto it?

I have already turned off the 3 or 4 different types of firefox suggestions in the settings. Did they add yet another one? I can't find anything about it in the settings. How can I be sure I never get a pop-up suggesting any sort of wallpaper again?

I have two firefox icons on my menu bar. One has a star on it, which I understand why. Each morning the icon is blank. The other double icon is Photoshop Elements. I don't know what I did to have this happen. Is there a way to clear this up. I hope that you can clearly see what I mean with the picture I loaded. Thanks for any help

Information: I am using a custom theme, and rn im making some changes using about config mainly changing parfait.urlbar.results.compact parfait.window.borderless parfait.traffic-lights.enabled to true.

But my browser is unable to remember these and when i close and open it back up, it changes back to its old self where all of those are false. please help!

i really need this colour switch pls. my firefox kept crashing with no explanation (maybe some extension i had, then deleted when the crashes began) so i had to reset the whole thing. now the appearance has changed. i had put back my background picture, witch was fine with me, but the text was black instead of white like it used to. and it makes me use firefox less. i think its something to do with the website contrast but I'm not sure.

As described, I (changes being intended as temporary) changed the maximal size for the sidebar to open upon hover. Only when, at that length, I try to revert the change, the sidebar closes before I can "grip" the edge of the sidebar to shrink its length.

My issue is not that I cannot fix this change. My issue is that my change isn't permenant. I followed the standard steps of "Right-click anywhere on Sidebar > select 'Customise Sidebar' in menu > let Sidebar collapse > in 'Customise Sidebar' panel deselect 'Expand sidebar on hover' option > close 'Customise Sidebar' panel > pick up the RH edge of now stationary Sidebar by hovering mouse until the 'gripper' symbol (double-headed arrow) appears... drag RH edge of Sidebar to desired new max-open width."

The issue is that, after doing this, the sidebar reverts to taking up half the screen once I re-enable "Expand sidebar on hover" and reversing the steps listed above.

Any help would be appreciated! I'd rather not have to re-install.

The latest Firefox Update Sucks

The settings isn't KISS , Keep It Simple Stupid and the new added in slide bar to the left/right isn't needed it just fills the screen with more unwanted stuff even in full screen view, you can remove all of the icons for the other settings on it, there is on option to remove it from the screen altogether.

Monitoring security cameras the display appears offset not like it use to be also.

At least i have a backup of the past four Fox updates including bookmarks Pw's ect so i can scrap the current one, have also set to prevent auto downloads both while using Fox and in the background, It can ask that is all.

For some reason it got reset and i don't know how that happened, that is how i got stuck with this one.

I do not have the function to customize my display screen to dark anymore after the last update, why? The screen shot below used to be a White on Black screen before the last update now it Black on White and I cant change it back

I've selected a new themes in settings. But anytime I restart Firefox (153.0.1) the new theme doesn't appear and is replaced by a different theme (the same one each time). Not a serious problem, but annoying. Thanks for any help.

I'm using Firefox 153.0 on Fedora 44 with GNOME 50. Everything is up to date at this date. I know that Firefox is supposed to support fractional scaling on Wayland since version 146.0. However, it does not work on my device.

As you can see, the first screenshot is when Firefox is in fullscreen mode. Fractional scaling seems to work and the text and picture are very sharp. However, when I resize the window, it looks like Firefox does not support fractional scaling (see my second attached screenshot). The text is blurry and not as sharp as when the window is in fullscreen mode.

Firefox is opening comments to youtube shorts in a popup window that covers the video. It should be opening to the side in a panel like on my other computer. I have no addons. I cleared cookies and site data. I made sure I have firefox set to open new web pages in a new tab. Nothing helps

I have added no addon's. I checked plugin's and there are two. Open H264 video codec provided by Cisco and Widevine content description module provided by google. I have no idea what these are or why they are there.

I don;t know whether it is Firefox of Win 10, but I can't seem to reduce the amount of white space (or reduce the line spacing) when viewing websites. I'm at 80% size which is the best compromise between getting more information on a page, and legibility. Having a font which is darker or thicker would help as well, then I could reduce to maybe 60 or 70 %.

So Firefox total changed my browser design. It has taken over my full screen. My tabs are on the side now. There is no back or forward arrows to go back to the previous web page. The add-ons are no longer visible or accessible. And there is no way to close the browser without using the task manager.

Windows 11 Pro

If I grab the vertical bar and drag it to the right, a gap appears between the sidebar and the web page. If I move it to the left, the web page covers the right side of the sidebar. In both cases the width of the sidebar does not change. I am on Windows 10 with Firefox Version 154.0.

I would be grateful for any help on this.

Hello I seem to have lost the ability to choose whether my bookmarks toolbar displays icons and text or icons only. At present I have icons plus 4 letters of text fading out. I want to return to icons only. How do I do this? Regards
