Recent builds have changed the way that the user can direct queries to the various search engines that can be added (i.e. eBay, Wikipedia, IMDB etc) - to a new configuration that is awkward and forces more clicks.

Here is the method that currently allows reverting to the previous approach :

in about:config

Set string "browser.search.widget.new: to false

... and to delay automatic deletion of engines set "browser.search.widget.removeAfterDaysUnused" to thousands

Posting this for increased visibility for folks encountering the issue and in the hopes that Mozilla will consider not degrading a well-performing interaction pattern

I am watching a movie and would like to use Picture-in-Picture mode so I can continue watching while working, thanks to its floating window feature. However, I can no longer use it.

I have already tried clicking the Picture-in-Picture icon on the video, using the Ctrl + Shift + ] shortcut, and verifying that the feature is enabled under Settings > Tabs and Browsing > Media. Unfortunately, none of these methods worked.

I would appreciate it if you could help me resolve this issue as soon as possible. Aside from its extension support, Picture-in-Picture is one of the main reasons I chose Mozilla Firefox.

I want to remove Paypal from my Mozilla VPN subscription and add a credit card, but I can't figure out how to add a payment method.

I tried removing Paypal, but it forced me to restore Paypal as the payment method.

How do I switch to a credit card?

I turn that off and still no Twitter and your system turns it back on again all by itself, your settings are doing what they want to do, not what I SAY to do. Now, I cannot get into Twitter.

I open Firefox, my browser, then I type in the site I want to open. It opens fine, however, when I try to open another site I want to open nothing happens except a little dot in front of the requested site keeps going back and forth, but nothing opens. I then have to close the browser, re-open the browser and key in the site I want. WHY? What am I doing wrong. Please keep in mind that I am not a computer savvy person and don't understand much about them. I do know however that Firefox used to work on my computer before update 150 and 151 were downloaded without a hitch. I have tried everything I could think of to fix the problem without success. I am beyond frustrated and need this fixed.

So I just upgraded my pc and it bricked my windows and to reinstall, I forgot to save the Firefox data before doing so because I thought it wouldn't cause any issue, well, now all my bookmarks etc. are gone and I'm wondering if there is some sort of backup somewhere saved by Mozilla in the cloud.

I've suddenly had an issue crop up when trying to access Twitter on Firefox. I get an error message that says "Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com", but the problem is Im not using Strict Mode. I have standard protection on.

Hello: Suddenly when I go to click on a hyperlink in the body of an email, nothing happens. (I might see the pinwheel for a few seconds, but that vanishes and nothing is opened).

I am using: Firefox 152.0.5 (64-bit) Windows 10 Roadrunner email through Spectrum

Getting around 20ms for DNS lookups so thats not the issue. Why do I see Error Code: NS_ERROR_OFFLINE maybe once every several days when this Firefox has never been in offline mode and never will be? Env is MacOS 26.5.2 with current Firefox installed.

Hi, My browser won't save the open tabs. I lost my tabs multiple times now, I don't even bother opening them back up now, but it's annoying. I have activated ( and disabled/enabled ) the setting to open previously open tabs on startup.

What can I do ? thanks

I am suddenly getting ads across websites in Spanish, and my Amazon account flipped to Spanish. I used several IP geolocation services which identified my IP address is assigned to Mozilla Corporation in Queretaro, Mexico, despite my Mozilla VPN being designated United States. How do I solve this problem?
