I have been a "light theme" user for 15+ years. Since updating to 96.0 today, a dark mode spreading across Firefox has been forced onto me, including:

• New tab background
• Background of any tab waiting to load a page
• Google/Youtube background
• Settings/add-ons/password menu backgrounds
• Automatic username/password drop-down background
• Background of the little box that appears on the bottom-left (the one which shows the URL when you mouse over a link)

I am unhappy with this and wish to have my usual theme back. Can anyone please assist?

(In addition, there is some sort of white border around the current tab, which I do not like)

I don't know when and how exactly this thing was added to my firefox behind my back, I don't like it, I don't like Baidu Pan either but I have to use it.

I checked the extensions and add-ons, nothing suspicious was found.

In Firefox 74, I would like to make the default start page dark. Plugins will not work for this, and an I have not seen, option in the settings. I searched and I didn't see anyone ask this specific question. Thanks in advance!

Several days ago (approximately 12-3-20) my Internet Download Manager add-on stopped working. Removing it and reinstalling it by using a link provided by IDM does not work. It will work only if I open the webpage where I intend to download (e.g.--YouTube) BEFORE I reinstall the add-on and only for as long as that page remains open. Closing the page and then reopening it somehow deactivates IDM, as it will no longer link to the video I want to download. Have tried everything i can think of to solve this, including deactivating all other add-ons and by uninstalling and reinstalling the IDM program itself. I also unchecked the "block popup windows" management tool within Firefox itself. Anyone have any ideas what is happening? Initially, I also received the error message added below, but as far as i can tell, none of my other programs are set to block IDM. The error message no longer appears.

How do you access Mozilla VPN after you have logged into firefox account - it only shows how to download and I have already downloaded it. I simply want to turn on the VPN and select the location but no instructions are available for this or at least the instructions are not clear.

This is really getting annoying. Again the 4k and 8k videos on Youtube are stutturing, saw some some improvement with Firefox 87 at least on the 4k videos. For example this video in 8k does not work at all, audio works fine and it stutters totally showing a single different frame every 10 secs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LxsViMm25o&t=54s&ab_channel=AroundTheWorld4K . My pc is running Win 10 64-bit, 8gb of ram and all with all drivers\os up to date. As usual no issue with Google Chrome while reproducing the above video in 8k.

I am very happy to use this browser as it serves all my needs perfectly! So thanks you for that.

The issue I have is about the updates. Whenever Firefox updates, I lose the sites saved on it. I have no issues with that.

However, can you give me the option to select a time and date for it?

That way I can, 1) Select a time when I am not working on Firefox. 2) Coordinate with other updates like Windows and McAfee.

This will ensure that I am prepared for the sites to disappear just once, instead of every time there's an update.
