Regardless of Windows version and (as far as I can tell) Firfox version, password manager will not usefully store any password that begins or ends with and exclamation mark. It reveals only the exclamation mark itself when password is used.

My macbook ran aFirefox update, when i opened the application, my history, bookmarks and passwords were missing. I was able to locate the previous profile from the previous version of Firefox which I used to restore the bookmarks. But for some reason my passwords are still missing. On the old profile folder (backed up one) I can see the logins.json and Key4.db files which I copied to my current Firefox profile folder but im still not able to access my passwords and autofills. Please assist.

After the last upate on browser all password disappear. I can`t to create new password and browser don`t ask me to remember password. How to restore my password? It`s don`t synchronysed with browser on the other device!!!

I use Proton Pass and sometimes it pops up and sometimes not. Extension is installed. But Firefox pops up to manage password while it is not activated. See image. What can I do to have reliable Proton Pass. Thanks

So, now I've followed your previous advice and reset my password. I've gotten into my Firefox account, which is nice. I've set a Passkey and a Recovery Key. Your site suggests saving the Recovery Key in a Password Manager. So, I downloaded it to do so. But, your browser won't save the pdf that it downloaded! It wants a csv file. What do I do now? Other than write it down, which I've already done, but, that didn't work last time. Both my password and my passkey were unrecognized, which is what got me here and now.

hello i just opened my pc today and opened fire fox and i saw an update that makes the browser look better and suddnlly i lost all my passwords and i'm log out of my account

Every time Firefox (on Windows desktop) updates it loses all passwords. I am able to recover them by syncing from my Firefox Android. Surely, there is a better solution than that. Is there a way to protect the passwords in a file or is there a Firefox setting that needs to be changed?
