After updating FF to v. 136.0 in Linux Mint 22.04, I noticed a problem with video playback in Facebook in some posts. A black screen appears with the message "Sorry, there were problems playing this video". The problem also occurs after disabling all plugins and deleting the user.js file from the profile. The problem does not occur after starting firefox in troubleshoot mode, but then hardware acceleration using the GPU does not work (Compositing: WebRender (Software)). I noticed that in version 136 there were some significant changes in the topic of video decoding. https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/software/desktop-linux/1524008-firefox-136-beta-finally-enables-hardware-video-decoding-for-amd-gpus-on-linux-by-default I have an NVIDIA GT1030 GPU with 2 MB VRAM.

In the last few days, after some minutes of usage, parts of Firefox become unclickable:

- I can still click on tabs to change tabs. - When hovering over the cross button to close a tab, it changes appearance as it should. Clicking the button does nothing. Ctrl+w still closes the button. - Clicking on the address bar does nothing. - Cannot click on back, forward, refresh buttons. - Cannot click on any add-ons. - Cannot click on preferences. - Can click on the button to open a new tab. There, I can enter an address. Once the page has loaded, address bar becomes unclickable again. - Bookmarks toolbar is still working as expected. - Keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+t, ctrl-w, ctrl-l) still work as expected.

I'm running ``` Mozilla Firefox 138.0 20250428130755 20250428130755 ```

on Manjaro 25.0.1 with GNOME 48

I'm done with Firefox. Suddenly this past few months more than once a week I'm getting the "Restart to continue using Firefox" because of updates. This is annoying and unnecessary for every update they push. It's a browser, that's all. The restarts can wait until I feel like closing or when I update Linux and restart the laptop.

Can't even open a new tab when this happens.

The updates cannot be THAT critical that work is halted.

I am using Firefox on gnome desktop on the PureOS variant of Debian. About three days ago, I went to listen to my Spotify playlist on Firefox, not through the Spotify app. I had no sound, checked my system settings and turned the volume for Firefox from zero back up to normal. The rest of the song played, but when the next song came on, again no sound. I watched the sound settings and when the song finishes, Firefox disappears from the sound settings list. When the next song starts, Firefox is back in the list but volume is set back to zero. I suspect this may be something in gnome, but I thought I would check here in case anyone else is seeing this issue. Thanks so much for any help or at least a shoulder to cry on :D

I have been using Firefox on Ubuntu for over 5 years over the past few months face book does not recognize me when I sign in. Face Book ask me to confirm it is me signing in as they think it is someone trying to hack my account. They send me a code to my email I put this into face book and they let me in to my account. They ask me to change my password this i tried they would not except it as they did not recognize my web site connection. They ask me to sign by another means IE mobile phone this I tried but Face Book did not except that either. I also got a notification from MY Heritage web site this is what they sent me.

We noticed that your My Heritage account was accessed just now from a new device or location: Firefox on Ubuntu | United Kingdom If it was you and you recently logged in from a new device or a new location, all is well and you can ignore this notification. Note that this notification may have been sent to you due to changes in your internet connection (e.g. a new IP address was assigned to you by your provider, or a recent use of a VPN service). Can anybody help please Thank you in advance Tony
