How can I get all Firefox settings as a simple table? I am sure that is how they are kept by the program, somewhere outside the Firefox UI. Are they kept in the System Registry? It would sure make troubleshooting & continuity easier when moving to new devices/CPUs.

Recently, I've found that the OSX keyboard shortcut for focusing the next window in the current application ("Move Focus To Next Window" in System Settings) has changed its behavior. Pressing [cmd + `] will only cycle Firefox's windows until it reaches what seems to be the "end" of the current list of windows open. After this, I have to press [SHIFT+ cmd + `] to go backwards through the list of windows to re-focus any of the other windows.

Before, the behavior was such that I could just repeatedly press [cmd + `] and Firefox would infinitely cycle through all open windows, no shift key needed.

I haven't been able to reproduce this changed behavior in any other applications. Testing this in others (Finder, Safari, etc.) yields the cycling behavior instead of making me reverse the direction with shift to get back to the previous windows.

This is tied to the operating system's command. If I remap the keystroke to something else in system settings, I still need to use the shift key with it in Firefox once I reach the last open window.

Is there a way to get the old cycling behavior back? I find the key command with the shift key to be much less ergonomic.

I have many website icons from closed tabs at the top of the page that are crowding out my open tabs. I don't know why they keep appearing and I can't get rid of them. I've tried everything I can think of. I'm on an iMac, Sequoia 15.6.1

So I reformatted my hard drive and everytime I finish I reinstall Firefox. I have an account where I log in and it put me back where I left off with all my past bookmarks that I saved. Ive been doing this for 10 years but today not sure whats going on but when I logged if all my stuff has disappeared. Please help or contact Mozilla regarding this. I cant understand why one cant directly speak to the ones who developed this browser. Quite frustrating

Hi there, My laptop undertook an update for Firefox and I have just discovered that all of my bookmarks have disappeared and I cannot find anyway to restore these. My laptop cannot access any profile, I have followed advice in other posts, but I cannot find access to this data. I have lost all my Masters Degree bookmarks and my BSc, which I need access to asap to continue. Can you please advise on how I can get these back?

I have checked my mobile Firefox and it still has access to these bookmarks but there is no way for me to export these files out of my mobile. I am worried about undertaking a sync (although it says it has) in case it deletes all of these bookmarks.

Certain PDFs only allow page view when opened in Firefox. When opened with other PDF viewing software or browsers (Microsoft Edge, Adobe Acrobat, Google Chrome), these PDFs allow continuous scrolling. I don't have this issue for most PDFs.

I've tried fixing the problem by editing the PDF settings in Adobe Acrobat but to no avail. When combining a PDF that works fine with a PDF that doesn't allow continuous scrolling in Firefox, it seems to take on the settings of not allowing continuous scrolling.

Now, acting upon that advice, I've cleared my Firefox browser cache, but problem remains.

So, may I request that Mozilla remove (or a kind person help me to remove) my IP from blacklist? Thank you.

When using vertical tabs and having bookmarks toolbar only visible on a new tab, there is this behavior where if you are on a website (bookmarks toolbar not visible) and then open a new tab, the vertical tabs move because they need to make space for the bookmarks toolbar. Would it be possible to make it like it is, for example, in Microsoft Edge, where when you open a new tab, your vertical tabs do not need to move because the bookmarks toolbar is as if off to the side a little bit, so the vertical tabs do not need to provide extra space for it? My hope would be for the bookmarks toolbar to be next to the vertical tabs, not above them.

Firefox offers to automatically save user IDs and corresponding passwords on a site by site basis. It then will offer (or in some cases just insert the information) on the same site's login page when you return. This seems to be called "autofill" in the documents.

However, for some sites (and this appears to be random), when confronted with a login page, not only will Firefox automatically insert the user ID and PW (autofill), but for each step it will ALSO accept the insertion to move to the next question, effectively automatically log in.

For example, for one site, when I open a new tab and navigate to a site that I had previously saved user ID and PW for, the login page will briefly flash, and then I will be automatically logged into the site. There seems to be no name that I can find to describe this behaviour that distinguishes it from the "autofill" described above. I will call it "autologin" for this question.

My question is how to control this behaviour? I have not consciously chosen to have Firefox autologin for any site, but I do save ID and PW for the autofill capability. Is there a way to turn the autologin on or off (i.e. control it) for specific sites?

Spell out what you want as I personally have no clue.I am 90 years old so what do you want .?, Should I just ignore these requestsd instead , as I have no idea what more to do... When you are 90 I wondder if you understab][nd the request to update. All I use my computer is for personal use only

(My laptop is very slow. I have cleaned the cashe, performed disc cleanup, cleaned the memory, and everything i can think of. I opened task manager and see that multiple instances of Firefox open. (photo #1) I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I have also tried changing the preferences to 1 instance, but it wont allow me to. (photo #2) Please help.

Recently google's advanced search page changed from how it's been displayed for years -- seemingly only on firefox. And I hate the change. It still displays as always on DuckDuckGo and Safari. Firefox is my preferred browser, but I use goodle advanced search myriad times every day and this is changed version is such a PITA that it's approaching being a dealbreaker for me. Sure, I'd like to know wth happened and why, but really I just want google advanced search to return to my preferred display. (It does not just look different, it performs differently, in little ways that matter a lot to me over the multiple times I use it. Be glad to elucidate if it matters.) First attached image is what I'm now getting on ff. Second attached image is what I used to get on ff, and still get on DDG and Safari, and would like back on ff. Please help.
