I wanted to move the Firefox's automatically created bookmark folder "Other Bookmarks" into another folder (called To Sort folder). The folder was moved to the new location but it also remained in the "root" bookmarks folder. I tried to get it to be the other way round so that the "to-Sort" folder will be in the Bookmarks folder but- Trying to move it back it created a loop. Now when I go into the Other Bookmarks folder I can see the "To Sort" and it has a folder in it called "Other Bookmarks", which has the repeated same links and again the "To Sort" which has the "Other Bookmarks" which has the "To Sort" --> etc. ad infinitum

To export my bookmarks => Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Export Bookmarks => results in bookmarks.HTML.

Unfortunately that HTML does not include the "folders" in the bookmarks. For example I keep the forum folders (C# Corner folder, Mozilla folder, Microsoft Office folder, etc.) separate from other folders.

How do I a bookmark export that includes folders?

I recently installed openSUSE TW on my new laptop, and as part of the default Firefox install it bookmarked many openSUSE websites. I removed them from my bookmarks, but they still remain in the address bar recommendations every time I click/open the address bar (see pic). I have cleared the all time history, I have double checked to make sure that they are no longer bookmarked, and the only way I can get them to disappear is by completely disabling "Shortcuts" in Settings -> Address Bar — Firefox Suggest -> Shortcuts => Untick. I'd prefer being able to just click the address bar and click on the websites I frequently visit. This has happened in the past, but I thought I just removed them from the bookmarks and the links went away. Any help greatly appreciated!

I used to click on a bookmark to open a new window and load the link, but now it's loaded directly into the original window, how do I revert back to the previous state?

Firefox just updated. Now my Bookmarks Toolbar Menu is decimated and replaced by "Most Visited". How do I get back all the bookmarks I have saved over many years. I want them even though I don't visit them often.

Whenever i put javascript code into the url box when making a bookmark, (trying to add a bookmarklet to my bookmark bar.) after i click save, the bookmark just doesnt even show up, its like firefox isnt even making the bookmark. i dont even know whats going on it was doing this before i had any addons

Hi, I just downloaded a Firefox browser, but on the left of bookmarks toolbar there is an "Import bookmarks" that I can't get rid of. I've seen a couple other things that say it's like removing a bookmark, but that doesn't work for me. I've looked and can't find how to remove it. Any suggestions are appreciated!

A couple of weeks ago I migrated from Edge to Firefox. I exported and imported my bookmarks. All was good. Suddenly this morning, my bookmarks are inoperative. The folder structure is there, containing entries that appear to be my bookmarks. If I left-click on one, nothing happens. If I right-click on one and choose Edit Bookmark, the fields in the dialogue are all empty.

I know how to set the Bookmarks Toolbar to Always show/Only show on new tab/Never show. I always want the Bookmarks Toolbar, and until recently the "Always Show" setting worked. But it doesn't any more. (Firefox 123.0 64 bit)

For years, I have had the Bookmark Toolbar always show on my initial page and all tabs at the top of page. Something happened and now it does not. I have tried resetting per instructions and it will show on my current page but then not show up my new tab and will disappear from the initial page. I tried a refresh to correct and that did not work either. I was able to get them to show on the left side of the screen but I much prefer them at the top and want to get back to that layout.

When using private browsing window, bookmarks toolbar keeps disappearing every time I open a new tab or anything else. My setting for show bookmarks is "always show" and it works normally in a regular window. It also used to work normally in private browsing until a few days ago. Clicking "show bookmarks toolbar" works until I open any of the bookmarks, then the toolbar disappears again. How do I make the toolbar permanently visible in a private browsing window?

hello! hope you are doing well, I recently got this problem where the bookmark bar does not appear on my browser even though it is on the "always show" option, it appears when I first open the browser, but once I enter any site, it disappears again, even on new tabs, and when I try different options for the BM, it makes it appear for one use only. I tried looking for solutions on the internet but to no avail. can you help me fix it? thank you in advance!

This issue has arisen on Firefox for Linux Mint (my current version is 123.0 (64bit)). I like Firefox, and I like its bookmarks toolbar, and have used it for many years, but there seems to be a new bug introduced today:- The bookmarks toolbar is present and correct when I start Firefox, but now it disappears as soon as I select any bookmark, or if I enter any web address or if I open a new tab. The [View >Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar > Alway Show] option is already selected, but the toolbar is no longer visible. If I click on it again, the bookmarks toolbar reappears (or I can restart Firefox, and this will also restore the toolbar). But the toolbar now disappears as soon as I use the browser in any way, and so is currently not really of practical use, as it needs constant restoring. Hope you can help resolve this. Hi, my bookmarks toolbar doesn’t show when I launch Firefox. They always use to. When I click on View>Toolbar>Bookmarks Toolbar>Always Show - the Bar shows. When I click on any bookmark the bar disappears. If (in new window) I click on View>Toolbar>Bookmarks Toolbar>Always Show - the bar appears, when I then open new tab it does not show on new tab and when I click back to previous tab bookmarks are gone.

I have restarted W10 PC, no change.
