I had to create a new account so I could migrate all of my firefox info to my new computer. after verifying with the code, i got a error 404 code. when i log in now, it says my account is not active. how do i fix this???

I have windows 8.1 and just downloaded firefox update. Msg said was last update and to download a file for extended coverage until Sept 2024. Did that and now all my previous settings and ALL BOOKMARKS gone !!! How do I get them back? I know there is json file but how do I access and utilize to get bookmarks back? Thanks. I had my Mozilla homepage set to where a new page would open when I clicked on one of my shortcuts. Now its just opening the page right on my homepage instead of a new tab. I can't figure out how to fix this on my laptop. ALSO- my "Recent Activity" is displaying on my homepage and I don't want that. How do I stop that?

Tell me how to get rid of the shortcuts to Amazon and Google?

Also, can anyone explain why we must humor some paranoid loony nut-job regarding our passwords?

As with above title, whenever a video is next in queue and starts, the tab crashes. Also, randomly, if a website has an embedded video player, it will crash usually.

Jag använder VismaNet och får felmeddelande "firefox har förhindrat att den här sidan automatiskt styr om till en annan sida" när jag loggar in, hur kan jag tillåta detta så att jag slipper trycka på knappne "Tillåt".

My IDM extension no longer seems to be the default downloader. Downloads now come via the native Windows (8.1) downloader. Can you suggest any way of resolving this issue?

I have an issue whereas Firefox 113.0.2 does not display website correctly using Win 8.1e or Win 10 Pro. Firefox 113.0.2 does not display website correctly The site has a Date and Time line with a colour line underneath it, "The current AU EST Date and Time in Tanilba Bay Australia is - June 1st, 2023 2:34:07 PM" "PC-Bug Fixer draws the line" that refuses to show centred.

Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Bing, etc. all show these items correctly, i.e. centred under the headers above it, but not Firefox 113.0.2.

I have deleted all the History, cache(s), etc., but reloading still fails to show these items as being centred.

Any Ideas please on what I have forgotten to do to fix this anomaly please?

For approximately three days now, I can't play any YouTube videos. I just get the spinning icon and suggestion to restart but it never resolves. I have tried a couple things but am currently not all that savvy and just want them to work! They will play fine in Opera, but I hate switching browsers just for that site.

Need some help with Firefox crashing. System: Windows 8.1 64 Bit instilled on a Samsung SSD, 24 GB free space, 24 Gigs RAM, Firefox installed on conventional HDD (G:\) drive, 1.03 TB free space. This has been the standing configuration for many years, working with no problems.

Problems began with FF update 111.0. Any attempt to download files (.jpg or .pdf) would cause the “save” button to freeze, and after a seconds FF would crash. If an attempt was made to change a setting FF would again crash so quickly it was impossible to attempt any changes. Oddly enough, FF update 111.0.1 fixed the issue (or so I thought) and things returned to normal. I assumed whatever caused the problem had been fixed.

Unfortunately, every update beyond 111.0.1 reverts back to the same freezing and crashing behavior. I have attempted the following with all updates above 111.0.1 in an effort to correct the issue. So far nothing has worked. BTW, Brave and Chrome work just fine.

Cleared out all cache and cookies. Changed download folder Opening in safe (trouble shooting) mode Clean install(s) Disabled hardware acceleration. Putting the entire program on C:\ drive (apparently the newer FF installer does not allow custom installations any more). Checked and updated all drivers

Currently I have disabled automatic updates as none of them have the same freeze/crash issue. I am out of ideas and would certainly be glad to get any advice. At this point Brave is going to be my new default browser. Yes, I know 8.1 is no longer supported but I am not in a position to replace this PC at the moment.
