I have checked box in settings/passwords to save pws but when I return to settings it is unchecked again. Have cleared cookies and history, refeshed it. uninstalled and reinstalled, uninstalled and removed allsettings history but still no improvement. Usin BRAVE as alternative at moment as that does actually work properly

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? If I enter "na", the namu.wiki site, which I have never visited, appears as a recommendation. Even though I reset my visit history and settings, that site still appears as a recommendation. Is there a solution?

I am facing issue while downloading files in Firefox Private Browsing. Whenever I download my PDF files, as soon as I close the browser window, the files also get deleted automatically. What should I do to rectify this issue.

I get this message from Gmail when I try to print or open in a new tab.

"Grrr! A popup blocker may be preventing the application from opening the page. If you have a popup blocker, try disabling it to open the window."

I can not find a way to fix this and did not have this problem with the previous version.

When permissions are controlled in the address bar, what needs to happen for you to get an 'Allowed Temporarily' permission? Reference is made to this on the support page https://mzl.la/3zNjX3Z in the 'Use Firefox's address bar' section but it doesn't give any detail on what the 'Allowed Temporarily' option is exactly or how it happens. I didn't get the option to allow or block permissions as shown at the beginning of that page and the permissions icon automatically showed as 'Allowed Temporarily' and I didn't have the permission I wanted. What would have happened there?

I have moved to another password manager, and would like to completely remove my saved logins from my Firefox account and stop using the auto-fill, auto-suggest feature. However, no matter how many times I delete my passwords and Sync, they keep appearing in my Android Firefox app. I have cleared the app Storage and Cache, I have reinstalled it from scratch, but no matter what I do they reappear. My (also Synced) PC on which I deleted the passwords has not shown it again since I deleted them there.

I just want to completely delete all my logins in my Firefox account, permanently and across all my devices. How can I do this?

Hi I've no idea which section this should go.. I'm having an issue when a youtube channel im following sets a live. When I get the card on the desktop for the 30 min timer, I'll click it.. sometimes it will open in a new tab (usually the card just disappears), that's another problem.. Anyway.. If I switch to the new tab at the time the live should have started, it shows the counter reset to 30 minutes.. if I F5 the page it will load the live.. Is there a way to auto start the live when the counter hits zero?

I noticed that the shortlinks/websites on my startpage (the House icon) are placing cookies as soon as I start Firefox. Not all of them and also in a random manor. This does not happen in Private Navigation, which i almost never use.

For me this is rather strange, I do not visit these shortlinks and already being tracked by those cookies. How can this be changed?

My settings are to clear all cookies and history at closure. Subquestion: Do I need to choose Options/Close or does this also work by clicking the X in the right upperhand corner to close Firefox.

We have enabled the "Prevent changing proxy settings" policy from the Group Policy Management Console. However, we've encountered an issue where Firefox browser overrides this policy. It has come to our attention that Firefox is the only browser that allows users to change the default Windows proxy settings directly from the browser itself.

To address this, we want to prevent users from changing proxy settings via Firefox browser as well. Could you please provide guidance on how to disable this feature?

I want to visit a unsecured web site (camping site). I notice these mom and pop websites are unsecured. How do I visit it. I'm a big boy and dint like to be told where i can visit. However, I don't mind a warning.

My Firefox browser did not update with daylight savings (this is my first time being in a country with daylight savings with this PC) and now all in-browser times are an hour behind, which is already really confusing for someone experiencing daylight savings for the first time. Now that I do not have a phone, this went from mildly annoying to really messing up my day-to-day life. As a result, I researched, found and followed this question-and-answer proposed solution to my issue but it didn't work. Now, I've been pushed a step backward because I have also lost the ability to view TV shows and movies on third party websites because the player will not load and a 'Website will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it' notice will pop up (image for reference). This is super infuriating due to the fact that my PC is older and genuinely cannot run any kind of chromium browser and Firefox is the only way I can access said third party sites. It would be wonderful is anyone had a solution for both issues; thank you!

Hello everyone! I want to see every visit on a site by date and time. But in library of history it offers me to see only last visit by date(for example if i visited a site for example x.com 200 times - i want to see every date and time of every of these 200 visits, but not only recent). How to do it?

Whenever I am ready to type out my password for my Gmail account using Private on Private window, Firefox asks me to update. Is is legitimate, or Goole is doing something?
