I have an iMac with Sonoma 14.3.1 with Firefox 115.9.1 esr . It is for personal use, not for a business. I just learned that there is another Firefox version (124.0.2) which is not esr....

Which version should I use and why?

If I should use the "normal" version, how do I replace the esr version with the "normal" one ?

When the little yellow man is placed on to the map, and a direction arrow is clicked, the view just continues to spin round. Clicking on the 'X' in the top right hand corner terminates street view. This does not happen with other browsers.

My OS is Debian 12, Firefox is the latest version 115.9.1esr (64bit).

Why some Wikipedia pages cannot activate reading mode under Debian 12 and Firefox ESR 115.9.1, for example this English Wikipedia page on Emmabuntüs does not allow reading mode to be activated while French, Spanish and German pages can ?

Is there a utility to test pages compatible with reading mode?

Or otherwise in which Firefox log file to see if a page is compatible or not?

Lest update to 15.9 all my extensions are now disabled. Missing Lastpass and Surfshark from my menu bar. Doesn't seem to be any way to Enable them from Extensions screen.

I reloaded Lastpass from their site and this is now working on my Menu bar.

But what happened to cause this

I've been noticing that when I click History > Clear Recent history, after clicking and going back to History, it hasn't removed everything. I have Firefox on my Android phone which is set to clear history upon close. For for unknown reasons, its leaving sites from both desktop and phone apps after clearing.

I'm running Firefox v 115.9.1esr on my Mac.

Any ideas?

I did an Upgrade to a version of Firefox that would bypass those "Your Browser Is Not Supported" messages that apparently come from "Cloud-flare." I figured [naievely!] that my addons would "port" to the upgrade. They didn't. Is there any way [e.g., a putative backup file, perhaps] that would allow this?

I'm testing different Debian 12 on multiple VMs, it came to my surprise to see that my VPN hash I used on a website the day before was saved by Firefox on the new VM.

The Sync was on but then which one saved my form (hash)?

1. Numbered list item Logins & Passwords ? note: The hash was not a login but a form. If Firefox saves all the form, you should explicitly rename Logins by any forms/inputs.
2. Numbered list item History? note: I hope this is only URLs.

If Firefox is savings "forms" (input fields) not just "logins" then it should be explicitly written. Is it an expected behavior?

Hello. I suspect there was a cyber attack on April 1 2024. All of a sudden,having problems crashing with more than 1 browser. My Brave browser would open,and then crash with multiple tabs that had been saved. My Mozilla history was cleared,and I want it back because I need to find all sites I have visited from time to time for logins etc,but they are now gone.I have tried importing all of my Brave history,login forms to Firefox,but not sure where to located them or where they would be stored.

I have never had to deal with this sort of thing before so i am saying that i may be somewhat noobish on this.I just want some expert instruction on what to do here,and how to do it.I,m not 100 percent sure if i can do it correctly on my own by googling this myself,then attempting it.Brave continues to open then crash right after,so I dont know whats going on there with the userdata folder in the appdata folders with regard to Brave. Everytime i try to install an older version of Brave,it says i already have a curent version of it,and i dont want to uninstall brave then reinstall it again,or not sure if i should do this. When activating reading mode with a PDF file, the content of the file is not reproduced in the reading mode window. When attempting to install an extension and clicking on "Add to Firefox" the button is replaced with a "Cylon" throbber and the popup dialog asking to confirm the install never highlights the "Add" button. The browser will stay in this state indefinitely until the tab for the extension install is closed.

Could this be a permissions problem involving the ".mozilla" directory tree in the home directory? I've been having this problem regardless of the FF version for some time (going back to at least v110.x). The recent issue involves that 115.9 ESR version installed in Debian Bookworm.

Facing a strange problem in firefox. I have saved user name, password for my site in firefox, when i have login again firefox is asking to fill from the saved one. If i choose that, user name alone filling leaving the password field empty (please refer the attached image) and also password field is in disabled state and not allowed to edit the password field.

And this is not happening regularly. Any idea how to solve this or is there any config for such behavior.

I am unable to Drag & Drop or Move SOME e-mails to Local Folders - I get a No Entry sign. If I restart Thunderbird in Safe Mode the offending e-mails do not appear in the Inbox.

Linux-ESR versions 115.8 and 115.9 are constantly crashing in my Acer CB514-2H chromebook. Previous versions of Linux-ESR have worked without any problems. It does work in "safe mode", but not in normal mode with all extensions and plugins disabled. Appears to be related to something that is also disabled in the "safe mode" besides extensions and plugins.

This computer is running a MediaTek Kompanio 828 processor, 8 GB RAM and 64 GB eMMC.

I appreciate any help and advice that you can give me. If I can provide any info, let me know.

I like to play games on Facebook. I have downloaded windows 10. I had windows 8.1 After I downloaded windows 10, when I try to play these games, the screen goes black, then a statement comes on that says WEBgl has been disabled. I have tried everything and I can't fix this. Do I need to uninstall Firefox and reinstall or can you please help me. I hope this is enough information. I have refreshed Firefox twice and that didn't help.
