I recently got a new computer, Apple iMac. I'm trying to transfer all my bookmarks I have on my older HP computer to the newer computer Apple. I downloaded the Firefox browser to the iMac. I see where there is a link to transfer bookmarks when I loaded the browser. But, when I click on the link, nothing really happens? There is no transfer of my bookmarks for my old computer to the newer computer. My OS with my older HP was Windows 7. My OS with my acquired Apple is Monterey. Can someone be of help with transferring bookmarks from one computer to another? I have many bookmarks so it would be very helpful to be able to make that transfer. Thank you.

This feature has suddenly appeared and I absolutely detest it! I don't need it, don't like it, don't want it! I have searched everywhere on how to disable it. PLEASE tell me there is an option to do that.

I have the last Firefox version and am trying to add extensions (e.g. video download helper). When I click on Add to Firefox, it works at loading the extension, but without any success. The blue dot in the gray square dances and dances and dances.... Thanks !!

I went to Ugsound.com accidently while using Firefox on my Imac. The Firefox warning came up immediately and I left the site. Did Firefox protect me from malicious virus or was it too late? I was on the site for maybe 7-8 seconds.

Hi, When i want a new tab on Firefox i have 'Freshy' which appears while with Safari this does not happen .I heard that Freshy is an Hacker site .Pls lest me know how can I Remove it or avoid it Thanks for your feedback Regards

I am guessing this is a settings issue, but I cannot find a solution. I cannot see the social sharing icons on my website when in Firefox on my Mac. I can see them in Safari. What's the deal?

The website WSJ has large areas on front page, including the opinion listing, are simply white and not 'there' on the page to click on. I've deleted their cookies without effect, tried turning off all adblockers, shut mac down to reboot, nothing seems to have an effect. This is a recent glitch of only several days, prior performance was great. Thanks!

Suddenly everytime I open Firefox a new Firefox icon appears on my desktop toolbar. if I open Firefox three times I'll have three new icons - as well as the alias Firefox icon I've had in the toolbar for years. No idea why this has begun to happen. How do I get this to stop? (I'm using a 2017 21.5 inch IMac with Big Sure OS.)

I have a user at my job that installed the latest Firefox update (13324.11.21) through our MDM. After installing this update she cannot launch Firefox. When attempting to launch she receives a request for a username and password to install a Helper Tool. She is an admin on her machine and enters her credentials. The message closes and nothing happens. When attempting to launch again the same thing happens. This is not happening with our other 100 Macs who have the same Firefox version and others who have the same OS.

Is anyone able to tell me why this is happening or how to fix? Any assistance is very much appreciated.

The below troubleshooting steps have been done:

Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox

Updated the OS to 15.0.1

Disabled the Master Password on Firefox through a Mac Profile

Checked if there was a Firefox file under /Library/PrivlegedHelperTools

Granted Full Disk Access to Firefox under System Settings

After the most recent update of FF on Mac OS Sequoia, suddenly I am no longer able to login to either of my routers, because they require http and FF keeps forcing https.

This results in no login gui but instead an ‘unable to connect’ error message.

I have researched and tried every conceivable fix and nothing works (settings, about:config, cookies, cache, all of it.

I would have expected that simply adding exceptions in settings would work, but it simply doesn’t.

I can login via Safari, so this is clearly a FF issue. It even happens in Safe Mode.

Kind of at my wits end. Anyone have a fix.

Hello, After the last MacBook Pro M4 update my tabs keep disappearing. This is quite ANNOYING as I use ALL my tabs. Plus when I go to HISTORY there is NO Restore Previous session...so I am losing EVERYTHING. Do I just need to go out to another browser and make them my default? I can find NO help when I go out to your support for my problem. Thank you, Patty

Hi all, I'm having an issue that I've seen mentioned over several years and without a workable solution - I'm at the point of having to transfer all my browser usage to chrome and abandon my beloved firefox. The issue has been 'answered' by advanced users to tell people to 'inspect' which font is the issue then check local systems font book for corrupted/duplicate fonts: however this is not a satisfactory response. Context: see screen shot attached for what the jibberish looks like, and a point in the 'inspect' view that I believe (guessing) is involved. System: Firefox 112.0.2 (64-bit), MacOS 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a) on Macbook Pro (13-inch, 2020, 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5). This same websites do not have any issue on the same computer viewed on Chrome or Safari. Nor is there any problem on my iPhone on the iOS firefox browser.

Firstly this is not a user-friendly solution for most people, I'm afraid. Opening the inspect viewer is mindboggling for anyone who doesn't code and even for people who do some programming but not for websites (like me), it isn't exactly self-explanatory. I think I've managing to find examples that indicate 'Roboto' seems to be consistently involved in the display issue. Secondly, the step for 'fixing' the font that is the culprit - my local system indicates that all fonts are valid and there are no duplicates. I haven't installed manually Roboto as I'm uncertain where to 'safely' get the font from and my computer is owned and managed by my workplace - with overly strict administration/security rules so if I f-up a download of something dodgy my IT service will blacklist me and revoke my admin access... ** which would mean I'd be unable to do my job!**. I wondered if perhaps there is some security setting due to that, which stops website from loading the fonts they choose? From previous 'solutions' it said that having Firefox preference set to "allow websites to choose their own fonts..." should mean the websites can load as needed. If indeed I must manually download fonts for each and every instance that Firefox fails to display text legibly that is equivalent to Firefox being unusable. I'm clearly frustrated and it's because I love FIrefox and the ethos behind it all so leaving for Chrome would be very sad indeed! Help and a solution for normal users would be so very much appreciated. Also where can I properly lodge this issue with peeps who fix things? There are issues of this kind going back years and for both Windows and Mac Systems so it's not a one-off problem but a recurring one! I find myself going around in a circle. On my Windows machine, about:logins gives me an option to export data. But on my Macintosh, there is no such option (Firefox ver. 78.15.0esr [64-bit]). This is a very old MacBook Air but Firefox tells me that it (Firefox) is up-to-date.

On this page: Home > Support Forums > Firefox for iOS > exporting printing log in and passwords (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1368085#question-reply, I am referred to "Export login data from Firefox" (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-login-data-firefox). But this write-up tells me there is the same export option that doesn't exist.

How do I export this data unencrypted? Any file format would be fine.

On Mac OS 14.4 Firefox hangs on launch and crashes, requiring "Force Quit" when I try to Refresh or Troubleshoot. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, and restarted computer several times. Have spent several hours trying multiple community suggestions to now avail.

I am not a programmer, but am able to follow instructions. I clearly need someone to hold my hand and walk me through the solution. (I even checked out the Kaspersky suggestion, but cannot install it because Firefox cannot connect to the Internet.)

I have downloaded and saved "Raw Data.docx" and "Application Basics tex.docx" from one of the crash reports.

P.S. On this question form Firefox guessed that my operation system was Mac OS x 10_15_7, but it is 14.4

Can someone help me find my old bookmarks that I have had for years? I followed directions posted but nothing is working. All of my history was cleared also. The toolbar folders are there but everything is empty

P.S. Is there anyone from Firefox company that I can speak to?

I use Zenfolio for my photography business. It is running very slow from log in to using the site for my business. This is the only site that I am having problems with. They do not see anything on their side that could be causing any issues. I am having this on any browser that I use but prefer Firefox so not worried about those.

I have cleared all history, I have deleted the original bookmark, I use MacKeeper but have checked with them to see if that might be the issue, I am not sure what else could be impacting the site. I need to try to find a fix or I will have to move my website somewhere else which means a complete rebuild.

Any ideas?

The "restore previous session" function stopped working today. My privacy and security sessions are set to REMEMBER HISTORY. I have restarted my Mac. I have the latest version of Firefox. Why does it no longer work?

When I open a new tab this website opens up instead of a blank tab. "https://search.rspark.com/?ytm"

I've set my new tabs to open a blank page, and I have the current version.
