Hello. When opening links from a search, I would like to have them always open in a new tab. How can I set this as a preference in Mozilla / Firefox?

Currently, I always right click and must select "open link in new tab." I see the option in Settings to "always open in new window", but that is not my objective. I would like to open in new tab, so that I retain my original search results in the current tab.

I am unable to use my bill pay with my bank using Firefox browser. However, I am able to use it logging on with Microsoft Edge. What has changed with Firefox recently? This has only become a problem as of today.

I have Firefox on 2 computers. One is for my wife. On her computer Firefox defaults to all my settings, including passwords and logins. When she tries to log into her accounts, like CC and banking, everything defaults back to my settings.

How can I set up Firefox on her computer with only her settings?

I know it may sound a bit strange, but I would like to know WHY an extension is not allowed in a private window, so I might understand the reason why I'm not able to diagnose an issue I'm having with fucking amazon who has their cart all over the place for a misconfiguration in firefox that either I did or an extension is causing, however I'm unable to figure out which because I can't enable extensions in private windows, where the issue does not happen, so I'm not able to reproduce and isolate the problem. Since the last update (was executed today in my case 16-07-2024), firefox has been very slow and freezing and crashing. Also, somehow it is the only browser that can't handle yahoo finance new charts and keeps freezing....so many issues in a short span of time, please check. I have tried other browsers and things seem to work fine there, so, it is not my computer or OS.

I just want to bring it to your attention, that since my latest Windows 11 updates, Firefox browser has been having browsing issues.

1. Basic or multiple tabs are no longer browsing as before. Pages such as: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, CNN, Microsoft home Page, Google, GoDaddy, and so on.

Please note: I have cleared the Cache and internet history, and this does not make any difference. The issue remains the same.

What is causing this basic browsing issue with this version of Firefox?

I got a new Macbook Pro recently and set it up by basically copying my iMac onto it. All works great. Except that the MBP doesn't show up with it's synced open taps on my iMac or my iphone. The iMac doens't show up on the MBP either.

Have I maybe copied some setting that makes the two machines (iMAc and MBP) thinkt they're one and the same? How can I "separate" the devices so that they show up in each other's Synced Tabs lists, respectively?

Pressing Alt in Firefox in Linux (Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Linux Mint 22.xx) brings up a top menu, which is hugely annoying as I'm always trying to to a window action if I'm pressing Alt.

The suggested solution is to go to about:config and change ui.key.menuAccessKeyFocuses to "false".

But this keeps reverting itself. (Between every other reboot?). Alt will again bring up this menu.

How can I permanently disable this shortcut?

Hello support. Since your last update, the "Allow cookie" popup is no longer displayed in the Firefox incognito tab on our site which leads to all functions being blocked. We have tried to identify the problem, but on different computers with the same (current) version of Firefox, we have the result that sometimes the popup is displayed and sometimes not. Why does Firefox block our “Allow cookies” popup in the private window?

For the past week, anything Google just refuses to load unless I clear my cache every few minutes. I open a new tab and type in a search and the tab does nothing. I try to open my gmail and the page won't load. And navigating the settings tab every few minutes is getting really annoying.

On our web site we have a page that includes mp3 files, which play okay on Firefox; but on another page on the site with mp3 files, Firefox (including different versions on different computers) produces the error message, No video with supported format and MIME type found." FWIW, other browsers like Safari (Mac), Chrome (Mac and Win), and Edge (Win) all play the problematic files without a hitch.

Is there a fix for this problem that can be attempted by the non-tech types?

Firefox has long been my browser of choice on all platforms. I am switching from Windows to Linux and have recently found problems playing some videos on the Linux version of Foxfire. I don’t know if it’s a matter of having the right codec or something else. The videos play with Chromium on Linux and with Firefox on my Android smartphone. Whenever I click my mouse somewhere blank on a webpage firefox will always select some text/image despite being nowhere close to it. This does not happen to me on chrome.

Why on God's green Earth is there a widget by default that has access to my location? I understand that it's just for weather but it is seriously unacceptable that a browser that claims to care so much about privacy plasters my location on my screen for all to see when I open a new tab. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea and how can I turn it off?

Hello, Since the version 128 (x86_64) on Windows 11, SSH links are no more opened with the user. The link tooltip at the bottom of the screen is showing the link without the user too. Ex: ssh://root@10.0.1.1 -> will open ssh://10.0.1.1 instead. Thank you in advance
