i have made a major mistake trying to manage my bookmarks i need to delete all bookmarks and restore previous settings but every time i try to delete files or restore previous book marks firefox freezes. i have manged to copy bookmarks menu into other bookmarks and then copy other book marks back into bookmarks menu multiple times. have probably set a record for most book marks as i had over 1.3 million. i have managed to delete a lot of folder but i cant do anything with the ones i left without freezing

Hello, recently I've been having issues where if misclick anywhere on the title bar (even in the small space between bookmarks) firefox will minimize/restore when I didn't want it too. How do I disable this in about:config?

I am hoping that there is a way in which I can organise (permanently, not just the current display) my bookmarks alphabetically though still separated by folders and bookmarks. In case that isn't clear, the order would be:

1. 1 all of the folders grouped together in alphabetical order, then
2. 2 all the bookmarks grouped together in alphabetical order.

I've not been able to download anything on Firefox for about 3-4 weeks now. Every time I try to it immediately fails with no explanation given. The only type of download that works is "Save Image As..." Even trying to download a picture with a download button instead of right clicking nets an immediate fail. I feel like I've done everything to try and troubleshoot it myself, but nothing seems to be working.

I've restarted my computer, ran Firefox in troubleshoot mode, refreshed and reinstalled it, checked for viruses and malware, tried both nightly and ESR versions, tried running them as admin, logged out of my Firefox profile, cleared my cookies and cache, changed and reset the download folder, ran a repair for Visual C++, and reset my windows security settings. I'm honestly surprised nothing has worked.

The only thing that I know I haven't tried yet it refreshing my entire computer, but that's my very far last resort because I'm able to download files just fine on Microsoft Edge. Only the Firefox applications have given me any problems, so if I were to refresh my computer and have the problem still not be solved somehow I'd be deleting everything to get nowhere.

If anyone has any other ideas to try that be very much appreciated.

Almost daily I get a message to download or dismiss update. When I dismiss the message, it continues to pop up. When I hit download, nothing happens. This is locking up my computer at times & slowing everything down. I actually don't see the need for daily updates. What is causing this and how can I stop it?

hello tried a few things from help docs on line. nothing working. just keeps happening. tabs will say gah. your tab just crashed. works for a bit but once happens.... have to close whole firefox and open again. just started happening yesterday. I have used firefox for many many years never a problem. Something was not updated right. Please tell me how to fix this once and for all. if not I have to leave using firefox this is driving me crazy. terrible. I just noticed that I can no longer re-arrange tabs by using drag-n-drop or create bookmarks in my bookmarks bar using drag-n-drop. Is this a new "feature" in 127.0?

Hi, I would like to know which version of Mozilla used this setting of network.trr.excluded-domains: 'sbl-xbl[.]spamhaus[.]org, localhost.that.never.exists'. The default is 'undefined' as I checked in 127.0.1 and the older 124. I also contacted support of extensions that I used, no evidence of both excluded domains. Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot \!o!/

How do I stop these recurring update notices? Every 3 seconds. I'll update when I am ready as this current one does not affect me at all. For a while I fell for it, stopped what I was doing and did the ridiculous update, it still continues! I can move on to a different non-Mozilla browser if I have too. Return the option to not update and/or do it manually. FF127.0.2

I'm using openSUSE Tumbleweed and KDE Plasma. Ever since I updated to Plasma 6.1, Firefox crashes constantly when using Wayland. I'm not having this problem if I'm using X11. Crash reports are sent after every crash so I'm sure someone can reference these. When starting Firefox from a console, I got this message after a crash: "[GFX1-]: Wayland protocol error: wp_linux_drm_syncobj_surface_v1#67: error 5: explicit sync is used, but no release point is set"

Will this get fixed with the next Firefox update? Currently using 127.0.

Websites say that my Javascript is disabled, but I already checked on the about:config website and the javascript.enabled is set to true. What do I do so these websites accept that my Javascript is enabled?

about a month ago youtube was only letting me watch videos in 720 or 360, as of about a week ago i only have 360. i've disabled every single extension i have and i have firefox version 127.0.2.

i'm not having this issue in edge, so i assume it's firefox specific. anyone know what's going on or what i can do?

I can't connect to Amazon.com. I keep getting the following error message:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.amazon.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

I think this is a problem with Firefox. Any suggestions or should I switch to a new web browser?

As of today, DirecTV is no longer supporting Firefox for watching live streaming. They show the attached image. Brave works, too, btw (Chromium-based browser). Do you know why this is happening? Has Mozilla been in talks with DirecTV about this? I use this feature every day.

I transferred by Firefox bookmarks from my old computer to my new Windows 11 computer. I think they transferred fine. But to access them, I have to click on Bookmarks and then go down to Manage bookmarks and click on it. Then I see them on the page that has all the Import and Backup access on it. How do I get them to appear in the side panel as a list like they did on my old computer?

I just got this new computer and want to transfer my FireFox bookmarks and history to it. I cannot access my old account because I do not have access to that email anymore, and you require me to get a code sent to that email to log in. That is still on my old computer that was originally running Windows 8, and has been deteriorating ever since Microsoft jammed Windows 10 down it's throat.

I might still be able to export the bookmarks if there is some way to do that.

The best way would be if I could access to that old account without needing to access bonin006@umn.edu my current email is wayne@nano-dyne.com
