When I go and open any website, a minute later Firefox flickers, it's been doing that for a month now. and I always get this too, a separate issue " This site is slowing down Firefox" yet it never says what site, and when Firefox is the only site open, it still does it.

Getting sick of FireFox, I want to search from the GOOGLE SEARCH BAR, not the address bar, but the settings don't work you can choose to have the search bar next to the address bar, but it doesn't work, the google search bar doesn't work either, no matter what setting, your search ends up in the address bar, with all the updates, they don't fix crap on here, when someone makes a complaint, FIX THE CRAP, I don't need to ask 100 people why it wont work, just FIX IT!!

Prior to the last two <Firefox> updates (too many, too frequently!), no problem. Both keyboard and mouse were recognized. Since then, only the mouse, although everything's fine when I use Chrome.

Yes, I'm on the latest version, and have cleared caches and rebooted ... after every new version.

YOU CAN'T DO I never selected Mozilla to open any pdf and there's no where to opt out or change based on what all the troubleshooting tips say... All these tips must be located on a much older version of Firefox cause they ain't in my version OR they are hid under some dubious section... Pretty frustrating....when you want to use Adobe and can't cause I'm locked in under Firefox....don't know how that has happened unless it was done automatically under one of the many current upgrades that have been coming down over the last month.

Hello, I am still using windows 8.1 64bit & refuse windows 10, due to high risk privacy, yes predictable hollow words are said, BUT is Microsoft, a greedy un-scrupled money making, money hungry corporate entity, wants us to willing give it our private details voluntarily or under thin layer of extortion.

Hence my sticking to windows 8.1 as I have certain control, mainly updates.

Will Mozilla browsers be specifically supporting older operating systems like windows 8.1 into the coming years, not just months, e.g. until January 2023

Yes is a blunt question, but is eluded against in other responses, maybe is Microsoft buy out to sacrifice mozilla loyal users or similar, same query is for Brave browser. Mozilla I think is last Bastian for decency & morality, a leader in justice & honour.

I have had 2 sites produce this error box in place of the target Web Site (See Picture). I have read previous topics about this and have followed the instructions with no positive results. FYI, clearing the web site's cookies, clearing Cache and disabling Hardware acceleration.

The first was https://www.walmart.com. After leaving a "Feedback" 2 weeks ago it appears as if they were able to fix the problem. However, the site is not as important as my Medicare PPO provider. I tried loading previous versions of Firefox, but that did not help.

In both instances the LOL "support" people's response was to try a different Browser. So, I reluctantly loaded Google Chrome and it worked perfectly. From my perspective, this eliminates everything to do with my machine setup.

The blocking of mixed content is stopping me from using Ebay. I can't expand photos of items or look at any a additional photos . Most importantly I can't bid. Which is VERY, VERY, VERY frustrating and annoying.

I have followed your help guide as to how to turn off this annoying feature, but they are incorrect!

When I get to the appropriate screen which say 'You are not connected securely...' the tab to turn off blocking protection for mixed content is missing. It doesn't exist! Consequently I can't tun it off and can't bid or look at photos on Ebay.

Please correct this asap please.

From the Menu Bar, clicking the "Bookmarks" tab causes Firefox to list my bookmark folders and individual bookmarks along the left side of my screen. -NO CHANGE-

My list of saved bookmarks is large, and extends below the PC screen. I must therefore initially scroll to the bookmark I am interested in. I group bookmarks and frequently want to go to grouped bookmarks, one after the other. -NO CHANGE-

In previous Firefox versions (say 109.0.1), when I first scrolled down and selected a bookmark and went to that website, the NEXT time I clicked on the Bookmarks tab, the list would be at the last bookmark selected. (See Figure 1.) -PREVIOUS BEHAVIOR-

Now, with Firefox 110.0, the list of bookmarks always starts at the top (see Figure 2), meaning I have to manually scroll all the way down to the bookmark(s) I am interested in every time. -CHANGE-

This is inconvenient and annoying.

Is there a setting to control this behavior? If not, I am going to remove Firefox 110.0 and re-install 109.0.1 (if possible). (Please do NOT tell me this is the fault of using Windows 8.1. That excuse would be unacceptable.)

Hi, I receive every week a newsletter, where are listed special offers more info, etc. Firefox always blocks this page and redirect it to 404 page of this website. However, when I copy the same link from the newsletter and load it to Chrome, there is no problem. Using the hotels.com, I cannot complete the booking. The caches are empty, all cookies deleted; still the same: "Sorry, we’re having some trouble at the moment. Please try again. There are some problems with the form that need to be corrected. Please check the highlighted fields." Naturally, all fields are properly filled, the highlighted field is the c. card security number, that is defaults to blank when the booking confirmation button is pressed. I have to admit, I did try two other browsers and three computers and an android phone. All the same. Again: nothing in the caches, no cookies are present. The only "advise" that hotel.com was giving is the empty the caches. I even re-loaded the Firefox just to make it sure that it has the newest updates Simultaneously, I do not see on the Internet that others having the similar issue. I have search engines on the upper bar (Address?). Sometimes, not always, they appear on my desktop. They are annoying!. How do I remove them from appearing on my desktop.

I have just applied a firefox update, and I notice that I can no longer touch scroll the bookmarks dropdown menu with one finger, only with two. The single finger is set to select. Is there any way to change this and return to one finger scrolling of the dropdown menuu ? Thanks in Advance.

Can you tell me how to copy and transfer firefox settings, logins, and bookmarks from a P.C. that will not run via the O.S. ( Windows 7 ) I am wanting to copy from, but the hard drive is intact and accessible via an older O.S. ( Windows Vista ). I would like to transfer the FF stuff via copy to flash drive to temporarily transfer to a Windows 8.1 OS. The Win7 and Win Vista are installed on two seperate hard drives, and Vista still works and accesses the Win 7 Hard drive. Not sure about some kind of security or access allowed messages I get though.

For the past few months, i have encountered regular tab crashes when a website has an on page video i try to access.Also, when trying to advance a You tube video or backtrack, the tab crashes. No other browser does this. I am reluctant to dump Firefox as i have passwords and bookmarks i'd like to keep. I did a refresh weeks ago that only worked for a short time.

As stated in title. I have ebay as one of my main page widget-thingys but have also tried typing in the address to the main search bar - it simply will not open, but will in Opera browser just fine. I also changed the address for the box to what it comes up as in Opera, but still won't work.

Lately play buttons haven't been working, it may have started with the latest update. It works on YouTube videos but I can't start a trailer on IMDB or play a song on Bandcamp, and lots of other sites aren't working. Firefox 111.0 64-bit and Windows 8.1

I'm having trouble with my laptop battery and my laptop completely died. I got it working again but now Firefox doesn't have my logins for some reason. The Profile folder showed logins.json, logins.json.corrupt, and logins-backup.json. I changed logins.json to logins-old.json and changed logins.json.corrupt to logins.json like I saw in many solutions but that does not work. It just becomes logins.json.corrupt again. I tried the same with Logins-backup.json but still just changed to corrupt. I refreshed firefox but still the same. I made a new profile and copied the file and tried to get it to work there but still changes back to corrupt every time. I'm Windows 8.1 so there is no Previous Versions tab in properties so I can't go back to a previous version of the file. Is there ajny way to fix this and get my passwords back?
