I am running FF v110.0 on Windows 10 (64). This version automatically downloaded and installed without my permission (I never allow any software to automatically update) - I found out about this a week or so ago. I've also reset the update settings to what they've always been.
Anyway, since that upgrade I am getting a blue box around whatever control I click on. This occurs on most web sites. I've tried the various suggestions from years ago (troubleshoot mode, about:config 'browser.display.focus_ring_on_anything' and 'browser.display.show_focus_rings' = false). This does not occur on any other browser and didn't occur on Firefox until the latest update.
How do I get rid of this? It is very annoying with several web sites I use daily.

A site I went to for the first time popped up a message that implied it wanted to INSTALL something in my browser. I sent a message to the site owners asking why their site was trying to install an add-on in my browser with no warning or notice about what it actually was. I was embarrassed to find this was far from true - it just wanted MIDI access permissions. (See included image.)
This popup is badly worded, misleading, and needs to be changed. MIDI access, unless it's been coded extremely wrong, cannot "steal your data", download anything, or force anything involving malware. And it certainly isn't INSTALLING anything, so why does the button say "Continue to Installation"??? The worst it could do would be to play unwanted notes!
The message needs to include SPECIFICS, as well. Which device(s) is the site requesting permission for would be real good to know. Every other browser includes this information when asking to grant permissions.
Please fix this as soon as possible. And fire the person that decided this pop-up was good enough to be in a working release.

I'm really not sure how something like this can happen but I have lost access to your products. My favorites, passwords, DuckDuckgo, background, and everything. I thought that once I signed into Firefox again all these saved items would come back but nothing has. It's like someone pushed a button and changed my world using all the products that you offer. I don't know how to retrieve these needed items and I'm hoping hard you can return my Mozilla world to me. I don't really understand how this could have happened but I'm hoping it wasn't something I did. I can't give you any hints that might explain how something like this could happen. When I tried to sign into firefox Microsoft Edge offered to provide the password but I don't want to go near their products. It seems when you go that way Microsoft will add a dozen things I don't want. I'd like to thank you for any and all help you can provide to me. Also thanks for your time. Hi Mozilla, I subscribe to the videopass on motogp.com. I recently went on to renew my subscription but couldn't proceed because of the following message. "Sorry, we are unable to proceed with your purchase as we have detected that the billing address does not match your location" My profile location is "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", but my billing location is "United Kingdom". They are apparently two different locations according to the website. I must add, these locations are from a dropdown menu so I cannot change them. I emailed motogp and their tech people reckon either my browser (Firefox) or my internet provider (Sky) could be having a conflict with the payment platform. What do you think? Personally, I think It's the website's problem but any advice would be helpful. This is the first time I have tried to renew, usually I just let it auto-renew. Regards,

Hi. I want to sync with my work pc (it used to work just fine but when I synced to a newer third pc- successfully- it just stopped). When i try to sign in on the work pc it asks me for the primary password which it then FAILS to recognise to allow me to proceed! What's going on? I currently use Chrome on Android & Chromebook as my main browser, but I would like to switch to using Firefox now across all my devices (linux, android, chromebook). To do this, I need to import my passwords from Chrome to Firefox, and have them sync between the Firefoxes on all of my devices, but it's not working. I have tried the following:
Method 1: I installed Chrome on my new Linux machine. Checked and made sure it had synced my passwords by logging into a website using Chrome. Then, on Firefox, I pressed alt to enable the toolbar, then File->Import from another browser. The pop-up says "No programs that contain bookmarks, history, or password data could be found."
Method 2: Chrome seems to have a feature to export the passwords to csv. So I exported the passwords from Chrome to a csv on Linux. To be thorough (because I am having trouble getting this to work), I used accounts.firefox.com to sign out the Firefox on my android phone and chromebook, then (on the phone) I deleted my browsing data, uninstalled firefox, and rebooted the phone. Back on Linux, I did about:config, then set signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled to true, then did about:logins then menu->"import from a file", selected the csv that I just exported from Chrome, and clicked Import. Import Complete, 332 logins added, 1 not added because it was missing a password. Logins successfully imported, hooray! For testing purposes, I create a unique new password entry, http://foo.com username "a" password "b". Then I go to about:preferences, make sure that syncing is on and I'm currently syncing logins and passwords, and press "sync now". Log in to my phone, install Firefox from the play store, start it up, sign in using my email and password (it says "syncing"), go to logins and passwords, click "saved logins". The only one listed is for foo.com, the fake one I created to test the syncing, but I expected to see all 333 there.

Instead of ASSUMING you already know EVERYTHING, pay attention to your users.........MOZILLA FIREFOX, WILL USE UP ALL MEMORY(IDLING). There are several THOUSANDS of posts stating that mozilla firefox is a HUGE memory HOG, and of course the people of firefox can NEVER be BOTHERED to listen to the public.
That is the problem, we are left without the slightest bit of help or service when mozilla decides to intentionally ruin our PC's. And absolutely no one will believe us when it's been stated THOUSANDS of times that mozilla firefox uses up ALL memory(on the net). Please do something, we the public are getting FED-UP, with a corporation that "just can't be bothered to ever help anyone". Hint: the incessant updates do more to make the users angry, than "improve a browsing experience". I've been having problems with using Firefox for a while. For context, I'm using a computer given to me by my college because my personal laptop gave up the ghost a while ago. It has a lot of security programs installed on it and I am obviously not allowed to mess with those at all, as my account doesn't have the permissions. Here are some of the problems I've been having:
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox also, but nothing seemed to fix these problems. The only thing that stopped happening was being signed out of my Firefox account on relaunch but I have no idea what was causing it or what stopped it.
Now, in an attempt to fix the problems I was having with addons, I refreshed my Firefox. So far I haven't done anything to it other than sign into my Firefox account. Upon trying to reinstall my addons, I got errors like this: "An unexpected error occurred during installation." and "UBlock Origin could not be installed because Firefox cannot modify the needed file." For reference, here's all the addons I had installed before I refreshed: Tranquility Reader, HTTPS Everywhere, Better TTV, Shinigami Eyes, UBlock Origin, Windscribe, Enhancer for Youtube, Dark Reader, and Bitwarden. I tried installing UBlock Origin, Enhancer for Youtube, and Bitwarden, and got the exact same errors every time. I'm really lost on what to do.

I've tried resolving this issue after looking at various solutions here on this site as well as other sites. The message "Your browser is being managed by your organization" shows in my settings, However, when I go to the Policies thread in the registry - whether it's under Local Machine or Local User - there is no policy registry entry for Firefox or Mozilla.
Please advise. This is really annoying.
