Why are there so many Google tools embedded in Firefox? Many of us don't trust Google at all, and in the current environment of increasing surveillance, it seems very strange to find many Google processes in Firefox.

Only for some selected websites. I get this on Lowes.com too

Trying to open any link from a pdf opens a page with the url resource://pdf.js/web/ instead of opening the link. The attached image shows what the page that opens looks like. This does not happen on Edge, so it is a Firefox issue.

I have updated to the newest Firefox version and the issue remained the same. I tried clicking on "viewer.html" and it brought me to an empty pdf page that just loads forever and cannot be downloaded.

Please help. I do not want to use Edge or go back to Chrome, but I will if this can't be resolved.

Often the ctrl + m (mute tab) shortcut gets in my way while using the browser as i use this shortcut in something else. I would like to know if it is possible to disable that.

Hello, From FF 99 I have removed the floating tabs with CSS code but after updating to 104 instead of the active tab being differentiated with a shadow it now has a black border. Is there any way to change that back while still keeping the CSS code I have for the floating tabs?

Months ago, I had some tabs open on my PC. After I haven't opened my browser for months, these tabs was no longer show up on the Firefox on PC. But when I connected my Firefox account on another device and synced my history, those tabs appeared in the "Open Tabs" again. Those make my "Open Tabs" verbose and difficult to get the information I need. But since I can't see these tabs on my PC, I can't close them. To remove those tabs, I tried reconnecting my account and clearing the local datas on my Firefox on my PC, but it didn't work.

I have looked for 4 hours now to find a fix for send link in my file tab you have & I am done i need help .malito box that comes up to hook in with what ever I want to send stoped.again 2 time now. last time I re load firefox & it work for few days then now GONE.DEAD. windows 10 hp alinone i am running so if you can tell me what to do be nice with out having to start all over. thanks alisa from wyoming . I changed the screen shortcut icon for https://mappingsupport.com.

Then in the profiles folder, I renamed the file favicon.sqlite, closed Firefox and restarted my PC. But when I saved the mappingsupport shortcut to my screen, I still see the old shortcut image.

I also tried going to Privacy and Security where I deleted 'Cached web content'.

How do I tell Firefox to get rid of that old shortcut image and use the new shortcut image instead?

Chrome on my PC saved the new shortcut icon to my screen. My iPad also saved the new shortcut icon to the screen.

For some reason it seems like under windows 11 with a HDR display, websites like YouTube don't allow for HDR media playback. This is really disappointing and a major flaw as HDR media is definitely the future. And this has been working just fine in any chrome based browser for years now.

Is there any way to enable this?

I have been using Firefox for many years. Suddenly I cannot get any sound from videos in Facebook, YouTube or anywhere. The settings in Privacy --> Permissions --> Autoplay are set to "Allow Audio and Video". There is nothing wrong with the computer as I can play videos and sound files on it with no problem. Sound is no problem on Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. It is just Firefox that after years of use the sound as stopped working. Can anybody help?

WHY do you strip my FireFox every 4 times I update? Sooner or later I will get tired of this circle jerk. Put my FireFox back like I run it, you try and try to have me run a generic Browser, when they do me no good, trying to mine my data is futile, as we show time after time. My sign-in sync panel holds on to two pages. I have cleared history, clicked on them, searched for them in history, signed out, signed back in, searched for sync panel help links -- there they stay. And there I want them gone. Help links address the usual things but not this, to my knowledge. How to delete *that* history?

I used search f or three different subjects and now they do not go way even when I erased them several times. It is really bothering me.What can I do to get of them?

The question in the subject field was posted 7 years ago. I am still having this problem in version 104.0.1 (2022) on Mac. First I updated youtube tab with cmd+shift+R still same problem. Then I deleted cache with cmd+shift+backspace still same problem. I had to delete all my history in FIrefox before video was playing. Am I doing something wrong or need something being fixed :-)
