Hello,

When I go full screen mode on firefox (version: 87.0 64 bit) and mac (version: Big Sur 11.2.3) both the top and bottom apple tool bars go away (which I want to happen) but the firefox search bar and bookmarks are still there on top.

When I go FS on my windows computer, the full web page displays and then when I hover op top the firefox search bar pops down until I hover off it, this is what I want to happen on my mac!

See attachment of firefox search bar staying while in FS mode and please help! Thank you for your time.

To explain visually, this is what I want removed:

[img]https://i.vgy.me/mG32hM.png/img

I found another thread on that with a solution:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1280633

However that solution doesn't work for me. Did something change?

I would ask in that thread but it's closed (pretty ridiculous) so here's a new thread to add to the clutter.

I have a portable installation of Firefox. Might that be the problem?

At 12:40 am, on opening Firefox, I Lost open tabs (>70) and windows (4-5) from previous Firefox sessions that I had been restoring each time I opened Firefox over the past weeks (i.e., used to automatically restore on clicking the "Restore Session" on opening Firefox). Now Unable to Restore lost tabs (>70) and windows (4-5) from those previous sessions [On opening Firefox, "Restore session" button was missing and the firefox window displayed a blank page]. I closed and opened Firefox and have been unable to restore previously open tabs and windows (Using Firefox Version 88, Windows 10). Please advise.

Yesterday, Firefox updated and moved my tabs bar up to the top of the window, and got rid of the button that lets me move them to the bottom. They used to be below the bookmarks toolbar which is where I like them.

Last time I could right-click the Tabs bar and there was a button called 'Tabs on top' which I could disable, and the tabs moved back to the bottom. But they got rid of that and I can't find where it's gone.

My firefox browser was running slow, kicked to firefox refresh and when it came back all my saved Onetab bookmarks were gone, including the ones I saved before doing the refresh. Tried integrating the "old firefox data" folder back into the browser info, which seemed to be the way to go based on previous forum answers. That said the fix is unclear and doesn't seem to be working based on previously listed answers. Also, I'm on a Mac (Big Sur 11.2 - just updated OS), the other answers were Windows.. Need some help here please, cause it's kinda insane to have saved all the tabs then firefox just deletes them! Thanks!

Three times now I have lost over 150 open tabs on Firefox and have spent hours trying to recover them but to no avail.

I have tried absolutely everything I have read in multiple support posts such as clicking on the 3 lines, trying to go into history, etc. The best I can do is go into my history to see thousands of website that I have been to in the past several months, but seemingly no way to restore only the 150 tabs that I had open.

Several of the posts refer to trying to find previous files with names in them such as "session..." and "json..." etc. but I cannot find any of these files on my hard drive.

MESSAGE TO FIREFOX DEVELOPERS: Please please please add an option to load a previous set of tabs that were open a week or two ago. Not an option to open the websites I was on, but the actual saved tabs. Very frustrating!!!!!! It's not reasonable to expect someone to go through 3,000 web pages in the history to find the 150 that I opened and left opened for a reason. A couple of hundred hours of my time in research down the drain.

Please help. I'm using the latest firefox browser on Windows 7. Thanks.

My browser opens new links in new tabs. I want them to open new links in the same tab.

Others inquire about the same issue get a response saying:;

"Did you try it? Some sites add a target="_blank" attribute to links. Links with these attributes are supposed to open in a new window when left clicked. However, Firefox by default opens these links in a new tab in the current window. By setting browser.link.open_newwindow to 1, these links will instead open in the current tab/window."

I need step-by-step help understanding what I need to do to set the browser are suggested in the above response.

I HAVE SYSTEM RESTORE ON MY FIREFOX. When I purposely restarted my computer, for an unknown reason, a session came up but my previous session did not automatically restore as usually it does. I did something in that window and was thinking about something else and deleted it, ie: the session. OH S _ _ _! Just lost my restore previous session opportunity..... I opened another session (and restore previous session was grayed - not available) and have not closed my session nor re-started since. Is there any other way to go back and recover my lost session windows and tabs? .... not from the previous session that I accidentally closed, but from the session before that? Thanks in advance. Hi. I'm currently using Firefox 86.0 in Linux (Ubuntu 20.04 64-bit) and for aeons I've been using Ctrl+Shift+ PgUp/PgDn to move tabs left and right, but a couple of updates ago I lost the ability to do so. Actually, I should say using the LEFT Ctrl and Shift buttons no longer works, as I ended up trying the right ones and I can still re-order tabs that way. However, I'm just so used to having my left hand working on that side of the keyboard, I always automatically press the left Ctrl+Shift, so I'd really like to get back to how things were until very recently. I was hoping doing another update to 86.0 yesterday would fix it, but it hasn't so here I am.

I've searched all over the web for a remedy, but all I see is people repeating the key combo, people recommending extensions that no longer exist (and I don't really want to install addons for something that used to be the default). I have not installed any addons for ages, have not tinkered with any settings (I can't even find any for key bindings) - all I did was let my system update Firefox, and that key combo was gone. (Note: since my system and apps get updated together, I can't actually be certain with was updating Firefox that did this, but I see no changed keyboard behavior elsewhere).

If anyone knows how to fix this, like a key in about:config or whatever, please let me know. PS: While searching the web, I've seen a lot of talk about related (Ctrl+Shift) combos I've never used - like Ctrl+Shift+ End to move the tab to the very end - and none of them work; the only Ctrl+Shift combo that works, and only with the right Ctrl+Shift, is Ctrl+Shift+ PgUp/PgDn for moving tabs left and right. I thought I should add that just in case it's related.

I was just upgraded to Firefox 91.0. Immediately, pdfs only open in browser tab window after update, no matter what my settings say to use. I have tried "Save File", "Always ask", "Use Windows default app", and my usual choice "Use Adobe Acrobat". Makes no difference. The pdf always opens in a browser tab within Firefox. It was working in 90.0.2, which was the previous installed version before the 91.0 update.

Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
