I need the install file for the developer edition, rather then an install stub. One of my developers would like to use this edition of firefox, but because of our download restrictions against users we are unable to install it through the stub, can you help?

I downloaded the latest Firefox installer and tried to run it. I got the Windows prompt to accept the software install, and then...... nothing. The installer never runs. Does anyone know what seems to be the issue?

I've been scouring the internet for a while looking for a way to do a silent install of Firefox via command-line. As I have come to find out, the -ms and /INI methods only work in much older versions of Firefox.

When I try the -ms silent install, the first half of the install works fine, until it gets to the second half. As it appears, the second half first asks for the admin password (which is doesn't need), then it proceeds with the very visible second half of the install (another click to download and install Firefox and another useless ask for the admin password).

What I think is happening is that the first installer is actually just installing another installer (into the appdata/temp folder) then opening that installer, and deleting it when it's done. This second installer doesn't support the -ms command when run on it's own.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have been trying to download Firefox for a few days now, going back and forth from Chrome and IE. I don't want to use Chrome anymore. When I try to download it from IE it will get to a certain point and tell me that the download has been interrupted and to tap OK to resume, but when it resumes, it starts right at the beginning again. at first when I tried to download from Chrome (when I tried to download anything from Chrome, this is one of the many reasons why I want to switch) it would begin to download the file and then flash "download stopped, network failure." So I did a little research in the google help page, and they suggested that I clear my cookies and so I did, and now it will allow me to download the file, open it, click RUN, and even go to the install page. But when I hit install, it will say "downloading firefox" for 20-30 minutes, and then proceed to tell me that the download was interrupted. Please if you can help me in any way I would appreciate it. I have been able to do a silent install of all the previous versions of Firefox using the -ms switch. But when I use it on the new version, the user interface comes up and it never did that before. I have tried different silent switches but non of them worked.

When the Firefox downloaded setup file is run (Firefox Setup Stub 31.0.exe) , 1st thing appearing is a window saying "Firefox Setup...Your about to enjoy..." It has a green moving downloading bar that continues to run forever without any result. I let it run for an hour without any change to the window. On the bottom of the window it says "One moment, Firefox will launch as soon as the install is complete" To the right of that, it has a CANCEL button. WHAT IS WRONG...HOW CAN I GET THIS TO INSTALL?

I can't update to latest version of firefox - I tried using 'about firefox' in the tools menu - didn't work (can't remember the error message) - I tried downloading the exe file and updating manually - it always gives a 'your download was interrupted' error message - I tried uninstalling firefox, and then downloading and installing the exe file using ie, and chrome, to see if either helped (they didn't)

I'm not sure what to try next ?

I had to bend over backwards to get firefox 3 on my work machine. We cannot download exe files at work so i had to do it on my phone and usb it in give my self machine admin rights and install. I want the latest version but the installer appears to be downloading files during the installation this is blocked at work. i am lookig for alternative install file. Why is downloading mid installation? Why do i have to download something that downloads something why cant i just download it all on my phone then move it over . Please help

After firefox undated itself the browser will open but not connect. I uninstalled firefox and then attempted to reinstall. I now get the message that firefox installer could not be downloaded.

unable to install from setup stub (36.0.1)on win 10. Older Firefox setup (14.0.1) worked fine, and was able to update to latest version. Was getting message saying I couldn't write to the drive (D:), yet 14.0.1 installed without issue, I then updated and synced again without issue
