Hello,

As I said: fresh install of FF 119, only Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin icons are showing on the taskbar. I tried TyDraniu tip "Click the jigsaw puzzle icon, then right-click on an extension, then select Pin to toolbar" but with the right click there is no such option as "Pin to toolbar".

What's going on?

This has been an ongoing issue for sometime with Firefox.

Backstory time. I am a regular shopper on eBay and I get email alerts for things I like to look at and for. Unfortunately, on my Outlook/Hotmail account, in these particular messages, the images don't load properly for some reason. And I would like to know the way to resolve this once and for all. Thank you.

Is there a way to enable using both a default pattern as well as a custom image for the background on Firefox Color? I really want to enable both but it is making me choose one or the other. Please help me do this or enable the ability to do so.

I've long had a Mac with a Firefox install. For as a long as I remember, the spellchecking (when entering text in textedit boxes) has never worked. But that's been ok because I only had the Mac for an xcode/iOS development job, and did most of my web browsing (using Firefox) elsewhere (Linux machines running Debian) and spell checking always worked fine there.

However stupid typos slipping through when I was using Firefox on the Mac eventually led to me wanting to get to the bottom of this.

It wasn't so much simply that the spellchecking doesn't operate... it's that the right-click menu is strangely devoid of anything but

 Undo Redo | Cut Copy Paste Delete Select All | Inspect | Block Element

(that last one from uBlock Origin plugin). NB there were no "Language" or "Check spelling" items there at all, which are the first things I'd look for on my other machines if spellchecking went awry.

I tied all the usual diagnostics/fixes: remove plugins (uBlock Origin is the only one I ever use), new profile, "refresh firefox"... none of it made any difference. I went through a ton of items on this site by nothing seemed to be quite the same problem and the suggested solutions didn't work for me.

I eventually decided reinstalling from scratch was the only option: binned Applications/Firefox and Library/Application Support/Firefox and did a fresh install of the 119.0 download. But no joy. I'm typing this in it right now and there's no spellchecking happening and the right-click menu is just the same as it was before: devoid of "Check spelling" or "Language" items.

The Firefox settings "Language" section does show "English (GB)" selected, and "Check your spelling as you type" enabled. But spell-checking certainly isn't happening in any text box I'm using.

(I've attached a screenshot of what the right-click menu does look like, when I bring it up in this text box I'm typing in now.)

I'm not a "Mac native" so I'm not sure what else on the system could be messing things up. In the system settings the Trackpad is set to "Click with 2 fingers" and certainly brings up a menu in Firefox text edit boxes... but it seems odd that the Language/Spelling-related items I'd expect to see are missing from it.

I'm totally baffled. Any help much appreciated.

I just wanted to make my bookmarks from my new PC available on my old PC. I signed into sync on the new PC and it's imported a whole of of old links and totally messed up the setup on the machine. Has it merged the bookmarks or imported old saved bookmarks from my account? Is there a way of reversing this. I selected add another device and maybe it found the old computer on which I was logged into my Mozilla account.

(I tried the suggestions made there, but the issue persists), so please don't refer me to that answer.

As you can see, MS Edge has no issue with it, nor does Opera.

My visited links no longer display in a different color. This started in the past few days, likely caused by the most recent update of Firefox. Going into Color Management and adjusting the settings there had NO effect. This is very frustrating.

With certain pdf files, when I go to a page using the outline feature on the pdf viewer or refresh the tab on the same page, the zoom will automatically be set to "page fit". It seems to happen with the title page and table of contents pages. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

After updating Firefox to 116.0.1 my tabs keep randomly crashing. I get some crash reports *occasionally* - meaning not all crashes produce a crash report - but I'm not sure what to do with them, they seem inconclusive. The last report (not for the last crash, though, which didn't produce any report) is bp-3334b934-58b5-4226-887a-235300231117

I use Kubuntu 23.04 with Firefox from mozillateam/ppa apt repository, got update to FF 119 today (package 119.0+build1-0ubuntu0.23.04.1~mt1) and after the update Firefox stopped using system-wide installed fonts (either from /usr/share/fonts or from ~/.local/share/fonts).

but when I try to apply the style `font-family: Gentium Plus`, `font-family: Iosevka`, or `font-family: Junicode` to an element, Firefox doesn’t use those fonts and instead in the element inspector I see Noto Serif is being used instead.

Before the update the appropriate system fonts were being chosen for rendering by Firefox.

I am running Firefox on my Arch Linux.

Is there a way to modify the default behavior so that links open automatically in a private window instead of a regular one?

It used to be that when I'd set browser.privatebrowsing.enable-new-indicator to false, that there would not be the text Private browsing next to the private browsing icon on the tab bar. But now, even though I have confirmed that the setting is still on false, the text is back, just where I don't want it.

What is going on, and what step can I take to change it back?

I have "Open previous windows and tabs" checked in the settings, And have been using firefox in that manner for years, Like I would close the browser without thinking, And coming back to what i was working on. But today for some reason, I came back to all my tabs gone, And I openned multiple tabs and closed, And opened the browser again and there were no more tabs. (I know about ctrl+shift+N, But that is not automatic) Please help I really need this feature, As i don't like closing tabs!

Over the last five hours, I have gotten 27 emails from Firefox Monitor for this data breach, for the same email address. I have already marked the breach as resolved in Monitor but I keep getting emails. Is there anything I can do about it?

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me. Hi, I would like to customize the apps that firefox shows me when I click the address bar. In the attached image, you see youtube, google, reddit, wikipedia, twitter. I would like to remove some of these apps. How can I do that?

Also, there are suggested search engines on the bottom, including amazon, bing, ebay. How can I customize the apps which appear in that list? Again, I want to remove some of these apps.

'After last update, the new tab option does not offer either a selection of most visited sites or recent sites despite that both are check on in the settings. How can I turn on that function again?

Version 120 (PC) continuously crashes and asks me to refresh and nothing happens (including after rebooting) so I had no choice to uninstall. I normally trust your updates but I'm really regretting this one. Can you help me not switch over to chrome? Maybe you're already aware of this bug and will have it fixed soon.

When clicking a link to a website, it opens my default browser, which is firefox, but it opens a new window with no add-ons, custom settings, cookies, a blank browser. After the recent update as of 3 November 2023, all my add-ons and settings were completely reset, as well as bookmarks all deleted, so I created a new profile to save all my settings. The new window that gets opened does not have any cookies, so it is not logged into anything. It also cannot combine with my other firefox windows and tabs.

Adblock Plus icon does not appear in toolbar or overflow menu. Windows 11 latest update and Firefox latest update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adblock with all anti virus and vpn off to no avail.
