How can I set my location in Firefox. I know better than anyone on the web where I am located, and Firefox is locating me hundreds of miles away, so I just want to set the Zip code for my actual location. Thanks for any advice! -Harry

I went to settings and set firefox to open links in a NEW TAB instead of a new window, but it still opens links in a new window. I did a search on google and when I click on the link for the website to see the information it is still opening in a new window. How can I fix this so I don't have a lot of new windows. It's irritating to have to close all those stinking windows just to get back to my original window. I just want the links I click on to open in a new tab.

I wanted to get an couple new addons to my firefox browser. But whenever I try to get one i get the message 'Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt' whether I save the file and install it in windows, or trey to install at the firefox addons page. I have done multiple re-installs of the latest browser, cleaned every file out of the system, even joined this community in case I have to get some kind of membership to get addons.

I am out of ideas to solve the problem, and I cannot find anywhere on the internet where the 'Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt'. problem I have is solved. Please help.

I have been trying to load a particular website. https://metrobyt-mobile.com I can get it on other browsers. The funny thing about it is any other website comes in on Firefox. There is no problem with getting to any other website with Firefox. It is this specific website!! I can guess but I don't know that maybe that server is not responding when the translation from words to numbers is not working or is broken in some other way and does not respond.

I'm looking for a plugin or website that is able to convert voice to text capability on Firefox. For Chrome there are many solutions (VoiceNote II, Voice Recognition, Dictanote). And I need to use it on firefox.

In firefox, as I think, permissions settings/UI haven't yet been sorted out however, so permission can't be granted to use it by the user, so it can't be used.

When I join a Google Hangout and try to share my entire screen, Firefox always prompts me whether to share a window or the entire screen. I always want to share the entire screen. But when I enable the checkbox for "Remember this decision" I get this warning: Firefox can not allow permanent access to your screen.

Why does this happen? Is it because I'm on a unbuntu or is it specific to ubuntu Catalina?

Autofill for payment and address information has stopped working. The option to choose one will come up, but when you click it, nothing fills in. Password autofill has been working, though.

I want to import my bookmarks (.html file), but all of the help I find online references Firefox's "library," and I can't find a library. Info on how to get to the library doesn't match what I see in Firefox.

This command doesn't work, and I've seen others with the same issue and no one ever gave a response on how to fix it.

I'm assuming the same thing will happen here, but I just started using Fire Fox and really hope someone can give some resolve.

I tried running with no extensions too, it still didn't work.

Microsoft Edge Control + Shift + N works

Chrome Shift + N works

I tried this solution "Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem. " It didn't work.

Please could someone help me. Firefox has been my favorite go to browser, but now I am forced to look for alternatives.

Starting yesterday June 1st web pages started loading very slowly when using Browsec VPN. Today the pages don't load at all. (noticed the latest version 101.0 was released May 31st.)

I have a problem with how firefox is treating link to the file of type ".wotmod". For some reason firefox without asking is just opening file in the active tab (displaying it in the browser) when what I want to do is to download the file. Can i somehow force firefox to let me decide what to do with files of that extension? I did set action for all available ContentTypes to "Always ask" and I did check "Ask whether to open or save files" option in settings, but still Firefox is just opening those files in the browser. Other browsers like Chrome or Edge are letting me download the file, but I would prefer to use firefox for all my browsing needs. I broke an old computer and have my logins from it on a backup drive in logins.json and key4.db. I can't work out how to transfer these logins to my new computer. I've tried creating a new firefox profile since I am nervous of losing logins that are on my new computer, but then I am totally lost.

Tried uninstall, update, troubleshoot mode, restart, clear cache, malware detect, task mgr, etc. Windows 10 software, drivers, firewall, hardware, memory, etc are ok.

Firefox hangs, no rhyme or reason, random pages, every hour or so.

Am I the only one having issue?

Is there a way to autofill for most sites but not autofill for certain sites while still saving passwords through firefox for those sites. I like to store my bank information on firefox behind an master password but it automatically autofills with out asking for the master password. Can I limit the sites that autofill passwords or require the master password in order to autofill? Any suggestions?

I'm getting older, they should be set as on as Default, and switched to off if required

This is a massive issue to a great part of the community I don't use Firefox as I used to, as so many of my clients are also moving away, ( Gone to different platforms to Edge and Chrome) I'm sure this can be easily fixed.
