Firefox has a magnifier in the url bar. It activates for no reason. The arrow pointer does not move but the magnifier keeps going up and down 110%- 145%- 38% all over the place. only hitting escape several times and then touching the magnifier resets it back to 100% {normal} is there a way of eliminating this feature alltogether? Any help would be appreciated.

I want to disable the "language-aware word selection when double-clicking on text" feature that shipped in 122.0 (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/122.0/releasenotes/)

This new feature is cool, but it has actually slowed down the speed at which I select text. Originally, I could double-click to select an entire sentence, but now a double-click only selects a single word.

It would be great if there was a way to disable this feature for a specific language.

I am on arch linux running wayland, and whenever I visit some webpages (example reddit, github) some character are displayed incorrectly: spaces are incredibly large and numbers appear as . or , or other random punctuation or don't appear at all

Hi, Avast Antivirus keeps giving me this warning every few minutes. I have never visited the site in the URL and it seems to keep appearing regardless of anything I do. Is anyone else getting this? Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have my default browser set to Firefox on Linux (Debian Bookworm). When I open an http:// or https:// URL, it opens in Firefox, but when I open a file:/// URL, it opens in Chromium. It seems that file:/// URL makes it resort to the MIME type.

Is there anything Firefox can do here or is this a Debian or freedesktop.org issue?

I have changed Firefox's settings to both Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed and to Clear history when Firefox is closes. But after making these changes Firefox is still holding onto my browsing history.

I have a new laptop, from the same brand and make as my old one, both are HP pavilion with the same configuration and only 2 years in between! I have been trying on and off for weeks, to synchronise my FF browser, with all open tabs, history and bookmarks, but all to no avail. I do everything the sync instruction tells me to do, but nothing happens. I am getting desparate, because my old laptop has a problem (hardware, nothing that could prevent synchronising) and is still under warranty, but time is running out!

Will anybody help here, and how do I receive answers?

I am on Firefox v122.0 Google docs paste functionality doesn't work when using Cmd + v. This is happening only for Google docs. Same doc works perfectly fine on Chrome. I also tried running Firefox in troubleshoot mode with same results. Should I just give up on trying to make Firefox work with Google products.

when using a virtual machine with firefox, during navigating in a coding environment or pressing the "arrow up" key in a command window to re-run the last code, the "Passwörter verwalten" icon appears.

In english it is probably called "manage passwords". That thing is driving me crazy. How can I deactivate that it appears, when pressing the arrow key?

picture-in-picture for videos on the normal instagram feed and posts. It worked last week, it doesn't work now. The little black square doesn't show up on hover anymore, I can't right click at all on videos now.

Ten sam problem występuje, gdy muszę potwierdzić logowanie do innych stron internetowych za pomocą konta Google. Po prostu nie da się nigdzie zalogować. Ten problem nie występuje w innych wyszukiwarkach. Moderator Firefox odpowiedział -"This does not sound like an issue with Firefox, but is something that the Google support team should be able to help you with" Na stronie www.google.com pojawia się ikona zalogowania, ale i tak nie wszystkie usługi związane z Google są dostępne. Niedostępne są wtedy — Google konto, Google Play, Gmail, Meet, Chat, Dysk, Kalendarz, Zdjęcia, - to tylko te najważniejsze niedziałające." Pliki cookie są włączone. 25.12.2023 ten problem nie istniał. Próbowałam przywrócić Firefox na wcześniejszą datę instalacji, ale to nic nie dało. Rozszerzenia i wtyczki odinstalowałam. When trying to set up alert notifications for FEDEX tracking status, the Submit Button remains active, even after filling all required fields and checking all required boxes. See website:

I have set https://www.fedex.com/ as a trusted site (Exceptions), and turned off Browser Guard. Also placed same URL in MalwareBytes allow list.

Any method I open a new tab, it always takes up to 7s to load, while completely suspending my browser. This also happens in troubleshoot mode but not in incognito. Directly opening websites in a new tab doesn't trigger that bug. I don't recall when this started to happen, it might be after some new Windows update.

I have included screenshots from Firefox Profiler, both from regular window and incognito one.

When Content Type PDF is set to Open in Firefox in Settings, some hyperlinks (see 'Download PDF' on https://arxiv.org/abs/2402.00923) will navigate to the hosted PDF without downloading to my computer. Others (see 'Download PDF' on https://www.overleaf.com/project/65c142c6d78ec5a8a34636b0) will download to my device then open the downloaded file in browser. (I am also interested in what causes this distinction in the first place.)

When it is set to Save File, both types of links will download to my device without opening.

In my experience with other browsers, the behavior is similar to the first case, but downloaded files are not opened upon finishing downloading, only doing so if the file is clicked on in the download menu during or after downloading. Is there any way to replicate this behavior?

My Add-on Icon shows a dot on some pages and not others. When I hover over the icon the following pops up: extensions permission needed

I have attached two screenshots to show the dot on some pages, and not on others.

I have tried to look at my active extensions, and they all show that all the permissions are applied.

What does this dot mean please?

Using up to date Firefox on a Mac, London UK. Recently returned from travel in Japan. The bank cards auto-fill stopped working & Auto-fill does not appear in Privacy Settings (it is not there – no need to request a check please:)?

Spent 2 hours on Mozilla support/community etc. No answers – including 'make a new profile'...(& why - won' that affect history etc)?

Would be very grateful for any help please?

The most recent update to Firefox introduced duplicate 'Manage Bookmarks' option in the bookmark drop down. Is there a way to remove the bottom one in an option that I'm not finding? The only thing I've found searching is from a few years ago talking about setting up a CSS file, which I've never done before.

The right click on a Folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar and choosing Sort by name stopped working. Please, fix it.
