Hello. I just wonder why firefox connects to bookmarks url's right after you open firefox? Opening page is always set to:about:blank. I discovered this when I want to know some netwrok traffic from my laptop and I wanted to know which software causes that traffic. And then I noticed that only open firefox it takes connection to bookmarks url even it does not open any web pages - because the opening page is about:blank

I wanted to open firefox and a new window for new firefox open but did not suggest me to sync my old bookmarks. instead it only asked me if i wanted to sync with chrome browser only. why was i not allowed to save old bookmarks before new firefox updated.

Up to 126.0b9, files with encoded URLs in their filenames downloaded normally. As of 127 onward, however, it gets changed to _3A instead of %3A, etc. Is there a setting somewhere in config to revert this?

How do I return ctrl+c to just copying the selected text?

I have checked the extension shortcuts and not found anything there. I have also searched extensively for solutions, before making this post.

There's one specific field I fill in very often and for some reason Firefox is really keen on suggesting me two searches that I looked up more than a couple months ago, on a totally different site. I can't even remove these suggestions or add new ones. When I used Vivaldi, it'd learn what I insert (even if it'd end up suggesting tens and tens of options), while Firefox doesn't learn at all.

For sake of an example, let's say that the word I use every day in this field is XYZ. Not even once was it suggested to me, I've only ever gotten the two in the screenshot below instead. And I can't remove them using the Delete key as some other article suggested.

Speaking of which, I just noticed the same thing happen to the subject line in this form 🙃

I have read through the user threads and tried everything I could find including malware searching and, of course, setting google as my search preference but no matter what I try the splash page for Firefox (re-installed twice) is Yahoo. Has anyone found a cure for this issue on their Mac - my Mac parameters are in the attached screenshot.

On the about:sync page the button to "Export to File..." button has no effect. Regardless if I select "Limit history engine fetch to first 5000 records" or "Anonymize Data".

It used to work. So I wonder why nothing happens when I click the button now... There is no network call made when I click the button. No error.

Clicking on the "I am not a robot" box (no complicated challenge) shows a permanent revolving wheel.

That happens also in safe mode, but not with Chrome.

In English, the meaning of this error is: Title: Configuration error Content: Failed to read configuration file. Please contact your system administrator.

I had this error for a long time. But it's not too serious. Just hit ok and I can use all the recovery tabs as before without any problems. But every time I open windows and open the browser, this message appears. I feel very uncomfortable and tired without knowing why. Even reinstalling the browser didn't fix the problem, I tried it before and lost my favorite browser theme. And 1 more thing if someone can explain. If it can't read the configuration file, how can I still use the browser? What does that configuration file do?

This message only appears when I have not opened the Firefox browser on my computer. If I already have the tab, I can open another firefox browser without that message appearing. Only when I close all tabs. Open it again and it will appear. And click ok to use normally.

When signing in to websites, firefox offers e-mail address options that havebeen used before on that site. But right now it keeps offering two, one of which is incorrect, and I thought there was a way to fix that, but right now I cannot remember it.

This is explicitly for sites where I have told firefox *not* to save the password, and it is offering up potential email/login. entries *only*.

I do not want to tell firefox to not offer to autofill anything ever, because that saves time when the entries are correct. but here they are *not* correct and I need to clear them for this one specific website.

How do I do that?

When we are getting dates and time in history like Chrome? Random months and in those months, no days, no dates makes Firefox outdated.

Is Firefox not growing or everything needs to be highlighted? I have never highlighted anything to chrome yet it has done things that are worth it.

I just got a new to me computer and it has Firefox 125.0.3 (64bit) but I was more comfortable with what I had Version 124.0.2 (64 bit). What would be the downside of changing to what I had? I just use it for home use and browsing. How would I go about making that change. I'm not to knowledgeable about computer language and stuff. Thanks, Larry
