After downloading a file which is saved to my Mac Download Folder the file is removed once I close the Firefox Web window. I checked the folder before the window was closed and the file was there. After closing the window the file is no longer in the folder. Also it is not in the trash.

I used to have the camera and microphone on video conversation using the instant messenger on Firefox browser, but now it says "camera and microphone not supported by browser". So I tried to fix it thru setting, privacy & security, accessibility - camera & microphone, but no joy. Can somebody plese show me how to fix it. thanks.

I got a prompt requesting i allow a midi device plugin to install but..... I denied and selected the "never ask again" option. Turns out i do need this device installed. How can i get the prompt back after i denied and checked "never again".

I thought the webcam was not working but in another browser like Google Chrome Internet Explorer, the webcam works in all other browsers.

After downloading the latest OS on my IMac, I can no longer use the microphone on Chat GPT to dictate anything. I keep getting red "enable microphone" messages. In my Firefox settings, the microphone is already "allowed" for Chat GPT. I would like to be able to dictate, rather than type, like I was able to before. Thank you.

Looking for a way to configure the "Share the screen" permission present in permissions for individual sites via GPO. I am aware of this doc but I can't find anything for setting this permission. Specifically, to block it for all sites with an explicit allow list.

The "Preferences" option won't suffice as permissions are stored in permissions.sqllite and are not part of the about:config preferences. The "Permissions" grouping lacks... the majority of the possible site permissions as well.

He intentado acceder a los ajustes, pero no sé cómo agregar la página de Google Translate (u otra) a los permisos, ya que no encuentro ninguna opción que me permita incluir manualmente una nueva URL para habilitar el micrófono. Tampoco aparece la opción para permitir el uso automático del micrófono.

Además, he notado que ahora hay una nueva ventanita a la izquierda del chat de ChatGPT (¡me gusta mucho esta función!), pero el micrófono tampoco funciona en esa sección.

How can I activate my camera during a meeting on microsoft teams? I clicked the upper right camera icon in the teams toolbar during the meeting and it won;t turn on.

I recently was unable to have my audio and video function while in an invited Google Meet meeting. I use a Mac OS, Sequoia 15.3.2 (24D81), Firefox 137.0.1 (64-bit), and latest Google Meet.

I use Firefox's "Strict" privacy settings and could use some instructions on how to allow Google Meets to function properly on Firefox. For example, I have turned on the browser window toggles to allow the site special permissions - but still cannot get the Meet Audio and Video settings at the bottom to toggle on (see screenshots), the message is a grayed-out "permission needed". I cannot figure out where the permission needed is located...Is this a Firefox, Google Meet or somehow my Mac. Sending this to Google as well.

I have read all your tutorials. I was unable to have an important televisit with my doctor yesterday because nothing I tried worked. I am unable to use webcam for other sites until I resolve this problem. Previously I had no problem with my webcam but recently had to get new pc with windows 11 & needs to configure my pc to address this issue. I have another appt scheduled with another doctor & need to fix this problem asap Thanks

Per [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/control-personal-device-local-networ...] I was looking for Settings > Permissions > "Local network devices" but the option was not present.

Looking at about:config network.lna.blocking I found it set to "false" by default. Only after I changed this to "true" did the UI shows the "Local network devices" configuration option.

Why is this disabled by default? Isn't this a security risk? It seems like users should be notified by default and have the option to block these requests.

We have noticed that opening a Microsoft Teams meetings link in Firefox does not open pop-up window asking the user to allow microphone access. Reopening the link in new tab without closing the Firefox causes the pop-up window to appear (sometimes it takes more then two tries). If one closes the Firefox and then reopens the link, the permission pop-up window will not be shown.

Is this a known issue? Can we expect this issue to be resolved in the near future?

Currently we use Firefox version 128.5.1esr (64-bit) and Windows 10 (22H2) on our computers.
