My Antivirus (Bitdefender) did a full system scan and found a Trojan hidden in one of Firefox's files.

Trojan description: JS:Trojan.Cryxos.6249

Location: firefox/profiles../cache2/entries..

It was automatically deleted. No idea for how long its been there. could it have have done some damage unknown to my Antivirus ? How dangerous is it? Are there any further steps to take ?

I would like to search the bugzilla database for known issues.

While there is a builtin search tool, that does not work: if I search for a string and limit the search to one specific bug where I know it contains the string, then that bug is reported. Doing the same search over all bugs, it (takes long and then) reports that no bug at all contains the string - not even the one where I know it contains the string.

So this search tool is proven defective and cannot be used. What alternatives are there?

I am VERY unhappy !!! For a long time I have had Firefox reopen tabs from the previous session, but today they are all gone !! I have read in some of the community questions that the recent update unchecked that option and when I looked, that was what had happened. I tried clicking on "restore previous session" but that only opened tabs I had used and closed this morning. Is it in any way possible to get back those tabs I used to have? It also seems that some of my recent Bookmarks have disappeared as well, yet it has retained bookmarks that are over 13 years old. I am running Windows 10 Professional version 20H2 Build 19042.1237... and Firefox version 92.0 Win

I'm using Firefox on a desktop (OSX Catalina 10.15.7) with multiple monitors. If I go into full screen mode on any youtube video , e.g., Welcome to Firefox (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRlmP6xWdw0), not only do I lose access to the menubar on the fullscreen monitor, I lose it on the other two monitors I have open Firefox windows.

The browser.fullscreen.autohide setting does not make a difference. I would expect that the only monitor that the menubar is hidden on is the one displaying the fullscreen content.

The attached Monitor1, Monitor2 images show the missing menubar on the respective monitors where a Firefox browser window is open.

Greetings. I have scoured the web and read all the community posts on this robot head, under remote control, and orange stripes in the address bar problem that so many people seem to be having. There are a few answers, but almost all of them use very technical terms that are way above my head and not defined. None of them provide a sequence of steps to fix the problem that a browser novice might be able to follow. Surely there must be a way to fix this or to explain to frustrated users why it is there and not removable. None of my other Firefox browsers have this on other machines.

Is there a series of steps to solve the problem? That would be so helpful especially without undefined terms. Thanks so much. This type of answer will help so many frustrated users (me included of course) :)

Soooo, I have to admit defeat on this one. I travel often to South America and back to the states about every other month. I need access to a couple of job search sites while in Colombia but I can not make the location stable. Every one of the sites I open gives me a Brazilian site link. I have set everything I can think of the the United States (Laptop main location service, Mozilla location, etc) with no change. When I open Indeed.com or Glassdoor.com or any other ones I get the dame results...Brazilian search results???

By the way, this happens when I open them in Edge or Chrome too...I know it's know a browser issue but I can't fix it anyway I try... :[

Thanks a million in advance.

I type in indeed.com and get this https://br.indeed.com/?r=us

Firefox 92.0 : So now comes another "improvement" from the folks behind a program . . . NOT!

USED TO BE: Click on a Bookmark in the Bookmarks Toolbar and the roll-down would be single lines -- meaning a person could control the number of links in that Bookmark so the roll-down would go to the bottom of the screen. Simple to read, no extra activity needed.

NOW IN THE "NEW & IMPROVED" VERSION: Click on a Bookmark in the Bookmarks Toolbar and the roll-down is 1.5 or 2.0 spacing -- meaning a person is now required to futz with the roll-down since it goes way past the bottom of the screen. A waste of time to search, since one is required to spend the extra activity to scroll down and down and down until all of the bookmarks have become visible.

VISIBLE? Ha. Part of the "NEW & IMPROVED VERSION" is that the screen font used by Firefox is that all-too-ubiquitous light gray color that can barely be read unless is blessed with exceptionally good eyesight. Some websites these days think it is So Very Hip to utilize that style of font -- but make it even lighter! Mindless Madness.

SO: How does one 1. Return the Bookmark roll-down list back to a single-line style? 2. Change the font color so that it is dark enough to be readily read?

Thank you.

It seems the folks there at Firefox central enjoy wrecking people's experience by frequently releasing new browsers that breaks what already in place. What the hell is wrong with you guys...?? Are you secretly employed by Microsoft and/or Google....?? Seriously, this is no way to run a browser company. It is, however, a great way to ruin one. Give us a break, and stop breaking our browsers. You ruin our experience, and you do it on a semi regular basis. It's all well and fine to release new stuff, with new features, but for the love of God if it's gonna break what we already have, at the very least offer us a way to keep what we have, and have it supported even in a minimal way, and branch off the new option. I get your fears, you fear that not enough people will opt for the new one like that, and you're probably right. That however, should tell you something.

We loyally support your project. That should be worth something. Thanks.

I've recently switched from chrome to firefox. Autocomplete forms has never worked for me. Firefox is either not saving, or not loading form data - I click into a form field and it jsut doesn't have an option to fill from stored data. Honestly tempted to go back to chrome at this point. I've tried following steps in help articles, settings all look ok, it just doesn't work on virtually any website. Logins are generally ok, it's mainly things like address data, email address and so on. Same on mobile and on desktop.

Hi Guys. I am an 81yo with mild dementia. I have 3 PC's / An old Dell laptop / A top of range Huawei laptop and an Optiplex desktop. I have a partner who has been totally blind since age 8 [Now 74]

Needless to say - I will need to "Look Out" for my partner when I am no longer here! My idea is to set up 3 PC's One for me / one for Janet and one JOINT [Gurrently used] - This (I think) will make it easy for her son/daughter to "Take up the Riens" with bespoke "My Gov" and password manager/email addresses / accounts.

What do you guys think?

First thing first though; God knows what settings I've botched over the past few decades? I know the gmail settings [Gearwheel] are mainly concerned with "Searches" - No filter or unused gmails! So looks like I'll need to reset Firefox [On 3 machines?] - So be it!; I only have a couple of extensions and a "New Start" is needed. Trouble is - I will need a "Step by Step instruction(s) as I'm not too Cognisent just now. ANY help greatly appreciated. My initial contact was with a nice young lady called Brienie [I think]

                            Kind Regards - Denis
