Hi folks!

My Firefox just updated and I'm now receiving the recommended stories (along with the widgets and recent activity.) when I open a New Tab. I was able to disable the widgets and activity and I see the place where I can turn off the Stories, but they are not going away.

In the "Customize" menu accessible via the pencil icon on the New Tab page, toggling Stories off does not make them go away; reloading the page, the toggle is re-enabled.

In the general Settings menu, accessible via the hamburger menu and under "Home and startup," I have Stories ("Exceptional content curated by the Firefox family") toggled off. The toggle does not reset, but the stories still display.

How can I fix this? Thank you all very much in advance.

Firefox is up to date, Windows 11.

I frequently watch BBC videos but approx one week ago, they stopped playing. I have your VPN which is usually off as it give me no advantage, (this appeared following the last update), but I've tried switching on and changing to UK location. No change.

Can you give me some suggestions please?

The Cache is never cleared after clearing, there are always about 9,3 MB left. According to my settings there should be 0 MB left. (When I check the Task Manager, Firefox ist always opened up to 10 times.) How can I make sure the Cache is completely cleared? I added Screenshots of both. Thnx for helping...

Today I noticed there was not a new tab to click on at all times. There always has been. Now I have to go to File and open a New Tab. What changed? is there a setting to fix this? If so I can't find it.

After recent Firefox update in v 154, saved passwords do not auto-fill in all websites. Actually, not even the username is loaded. I tried to open in troubleshoot mode and didn't work too. I tried to log out and re-login and fixed for a while only. Then same issue re-occurred. In websites where I have multiple accounts it's too hard to find the proper one. In the Settings > Passwords everything is enabled.

Good afternoon, dear Mozilla, I've been using Firefox for 4 years now and I really like this browser. I used your built-in VPN for a long time and it really helped me out because I live in Russia and half the internet is inaccessible without your VPN. I want to inform you that your VPN has stopped working for me. That is, if I turn on the VPN and only then will your built-in VPN work, I ask you to fix it so that the VPN works as well as before. All the best.

Every time I select Gmail on Firefox page, it requires me to sign in with a code. I have selected 'Strict' for browser privacy and 'Clear history after closing Firefox'... plus a number of other settings. I then get a notice of someone signing into my account each time, as does the person who I use as a backup to my account. I'd like not to go through that each time I access my Gmail account.

All other credit cards, banks, finance, etc. accounts sign on fine. I deleted my "saved" Chase sign on in "tools" and tried setting up the Chase account from scratch but it didn't have any result. Running W-10 with latest updates. Called Chase and was not comfortable with their response. Since it's a long holiday weekend (4th July) I will call them again on Monday to see if I can get someone else with more knowledge at Chase support. Any help from you guys would be appreciated. I am on Mac Mojave 10.14.6 using Firefox 115.36 Oesr on esr update channel for many years. Unable to access Billpay due to message saying outdated browser yet Firefox says Firefox is up to date on the drop down box for Firefox. Up until tonight I had the ability to select option of "Continue with outdated browser" but did not have that option today. Should I contact Billpay as well as you?

I have no desire to interact with Google, Bing, or Perplexity, and as a rule I don't want outside parties (such as Firefox/Mozilla) deciding for me which search engines or other service providers I see advertising for. (And yes, seeing that "G" logo somewhere is advertising for Google.) I'm assuming that these companies are paying to be pre-loaded as search providers in Firefox, and I understand that Firefox needs this financial support if it's going to continue providing a browser.

After upgrading, I've always gone into the settings and removed these search providers - I don't want to see them offered as search options, and to be honest, I don't even want to see their names in the settings screens.

Now with Firefox 152, I find that I'm not able to delete these pre-loaded search providers anymore. I can turn off a switch to disable them, but there's no way to totally delete them from the list anymore. There's even a [in the documentation] which explicitly says that the pre-loaded search providers cannot be removed, only hidden.

'WHY can I not delete them?

Is there a technical reason, i.e. would the browser stop working if they were removed? Are some companies paying extra to not be delete-able, and it just happens that every one that's pre-loaded in Firefox 152 decided to pay the extra money? Or did Mozilla just make an arbitrary decision to reduce the level of control that users have over their own browsers?

I have a new mac air and I had to set up a new Firefox/Mozzila account. Since then, I keep getting a Google sign in request. I have a Google email for websites that I don't really use, so am effectively a Google customer, but I prefer to not have this pop up every time I go to a website that has a sign in. How to I get rid of these pop-ups? Thank you, Fi

I need to disable the "command I" keystroke because it is causing alot of problems when I hit it. I am on a Mac and use a Protooarc EK01+ keyboard, This keyboard has a "settings" key and when I peess it by accident, it dislays the Ihfo dialog screen (and erases what I've already typed. Can you help me, please?

Trying to access search Home Depot, Lowes, Tractor Supply gives errors. Works with Chrome. Started about 2 weeks ago or so. I use Starlink, no VPN, tried disabling Ad Blocker, Clearing cache for Lowes, no Add ons, but still doesn't help.

Error msg from Tractor Supply is: Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/catalog/lawn-garden?" on this server.

Just found that using Iolo System Mechanic to clean up my desktop is constantly causing the loss of my bookmarks and possibly my passwords. I have tried to specify which file(s) to ignore in System Mechanic to avoid this issue, but it is not allowing me to specify the files in my Appdata folders that I suspect it is clobbering. Has anyone been successful with this? I am getting tired of restoring my bookmark files every time I use the program. My wife's computer is having the same issue, and even worse in that she has also had her entire bookmark backup files wiped clean, which required her to re-enter all of her bookmarks manually. The folks at Iolo want me to pay for support before I can get any help from them.

Why does my office desktop Firefox version update every 2 or 3 time I start my browser? I click on browser and a popup box tells me its updating. The updates are short, 15 to 30 seconds and then the browser opens and runs normally.
