After the latest auto update all of my history, tabs/windows, and bookmarks were deleted and I can't recover them. I have tried importing bookmarks and it does not allow me to upload an old data file and I can't restore my previous session. I tried checking both profiles but neither had my information saved and now when I open the about:profiles says "Another copy of Firefox has made changes to profiles. You must restart Firefox before making more changes."

I'm scared to try anything else because I don't want to mess anything up further but I really need my tabs and history back.

I restarted my computer and then reopened firefox and it had updated and I noticed my bookmarks were gone but my windows/tabs were open, so I tried to choose a file on the bookmark backup and nothing was happening so I restarted and after that all my history and tabs were gone and I couldn't restore them.

I have years of bookmarks that have disappeared and my history is missing. Firefox opens with the tabs that were open when it shut down. I really want my bookmarks back.

I am looking to Restore yesterday Firefox have lost all my pin tabs when I opened this morning the browser how can I get my old stuff back? Please help me out. Thanks

This has happened several times in the last 4 months or so, it had never happened prior to that and I've used Firefox for years. It now occurs when I open Firefox after my computer has either been shutdown, or the computer does a restart. I am signed in to my Mozilla account.

When I restarted my computer, I was signed out of Firefox. I didn't remember my password and didn't realize creating a new one would deny me access to my bookmarks.

Can I recover my bookmarks? The restore function only lists today as an option after my new password was set (empty). I have no recovery key.

All my Firefox bookmarks are GONE. I followed the directions for restoration, and the Restore (etc) window has nothing in it. I saved the bookmarks to a JSON (HTML) file on an external hard drive, but I cannot find a way to restore them. I'm just about tired of Firefox and the consistent problems. Please restore my faith. Thank you.

All my bookmarks disappeared and the bookmark button does not work. I have refreshed Firefox - no change. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but still no restoration of Bookmark button functionality. OS Win10

I updated Firefox to 145.0 this morning, and after Firefox had restarted, it had lost all bookmarks and the bookmarks toolbar. I have spent all day following links to correct the problem and got nowhere. I have restarted Windows and Firefox countless times - no change. I've even tried reinstalling Firefox over the existing version. If I go to bookmarks > manage bookmarks > restore and backup, sometimes that will load, others not. When it does load, it fails to find a file to restore from. 10 years of bookmarks, links & research vanished.

Can someone please provide a solution (preferably in Layman's terms) to this??

some STUPID profile pop up occurred .... please choose .... I did than I LOST ALL of my browsing history and bookmarks !!!!! How do I recover ????????????????

Firefox updated to v144.0 and deleted ALL bookmarks in the process. ALL troubleshooting efforts described by Mozilla are not accurate and do not resolve the issue. Given the >25% ratings on those trouble shooting pages, I'm betting a LOT of others have the same problem.

Can anyone provide ACTUAL help in restoring my bookmarks?

I had a Firefox session open and had maybe 50 tabs open. I am not signed in and have the browser set to restore previous session every time it is opened. When I last updated the browser, my laptop crashed and turned off before the restore session had opened the previous window. When I restarted it, it was gone and I accidentally closed that window too. This meant the next time I opened it, it restored THAT session and not the one with all the tabs I had accumulated (but not saved or bookmarked). The problem is that some of those tabs had been there for a year or more so it's not possible to fond them in my history folder. Is there a way to restore a PREVIOUS previous session in Firefox or are they gone forever?

I deleted a profile not knowing it would delete everything I had. How can I undo it? I didn't want Firefox Profiles, it was forced. I deleted it, and everything just got deleted. Can someone please help revert this? Thanks.
