Hello,

how can i disable firefox usage hints like "Try tab groups for less clutter, more focus"?. It opens up if i open up a certain amount of tabs. Is there anything i can disable in about:config?

Hello. I am using Linux Mint 21.3 cinnamon and Firefox 144.0.2 When I use Google maps and the yellow small pointer (cartoon) to go on a specific street, the window come black when shifting to street view. My only extension is disabled, hardware acceleration unchecked, cache cleared and cookies cleared. I have made fresh install and nothing help. Troubleshooting mode allow street view to work fine but normal mode don't work. Google chrome work good. Chromium work good. And finally, Firefox work ok on my Linux mint LMDE 6.

Any idea where to go to solve this issue?

I'm building a website from scratch and its going great. I just tried to implement a CSP and it worked except for one small section of my website that allows a user to upload an image and that image is supposed to be displayed back to the user. Anyways long story short the CSP blocked me so I tried to whitelist data: and it still didn't work. defeated I removed the CSP from Nginx to work on it later but when I went to try and test again I get this error. ``` Content-Security-Policy: The page’s settings blocked the loading of a resource (img-src) at data:image/webp;base64,UklGRqbeAABXRUJQV… because it violates the following directive: “default-src 'self'” ``` I have confirmed with Curl and by inspecting the network tab that there is no CSP included in the headers anymore. I have restarted Firefox, created a new Firefox profile, and cleared my cache to the end of time and yet still the error persists. I don't know where or how Firefox is storing website headers but they persists and also apparently work between profiles an implication I'm not going to delve into here. If someone could point me to the file where the headers are stored so I can delete it that would be wonderful.

Why isn't there a simple means to remove/prevent searches for the address bar, using config doesn't work.

I've used Firefox for over twenty years, this annoyance will end that and force a move to Brave.

So Im currently trying to watch young sheldon on netflix, and im doing it through firefox, and it wont work, it says error code f7701-1003, thank you for your time.

On Firefox 128.14.0esr (build 20250811113756), Linux/X11, the setting browser.tabs.hoverPreview.enabled does change back to "true" every few days, or perhaps browser restarts.

How can I turn off tab previews reliably?

I created a firefox profile from another, so I start with the same saved passwords and bookmarks which is nice.

Now I want to sync this new profile with the sync service of the mozilla account.

First, I tried to use the same mozilla account I was using for the original profile (which would be ideal), but I get an error saying: This account is already in use.

OK, so I thought, instead, I could use an alternative mozilla account to sync this new copied profile, but, when I try to register/login with another account I get this other error:

This profile was previously synced with a different account.

To keep your data organized and secure, each Firefox profile can only be synced with one account. To log in using ***@***, you must create a new profile.

Isn't there anyway to sync this new profile to a mozilla account? What's the whole point of copying profiles if you, after, cannot sync it? :/

Why is Firefox leanining into this ai nonsense? Its antithetical to privacy amd security, it slows down the browser for no benefit, so i end up jumping through hoops to turn it all off. If I wanted AI, I'd be using chrome or edge. I don't want AI. If firrfox continues to shove this ai onto us i'll have to switch again. Its self sabotage at this point

I am using firefox on ubuntu (firefox 142.0.1 (64-bit)) and using vertical tabs in the side bar. I recently started using the new(ish) feature of tab groups and I absolutely love it. I was using STG (simple tab groups) before and that fine, but this is way nicer. The only small annoyance I have, which could be a mistake on my side. Is that some of my tab groups are shortend seemingly randomly? If I for example make a group named "phone" it is visible like that, but after a couple of hours it goes to "ph...". I thought it may be sidebar width not being wide enough, but you can see in my screenshot that is not the case. Strangely if I make a new group it is always complete.

So I was wondering if I am missing a setting or config entry.
