After installing the latest version of Firefox on Windows 11 I can no longer view certain sites (like Allstate.com). Tried clearing data, uninstalling/disabling all extensions and addons, etc., nothing works. Previous version worked fine. Love Firefox, been using for years (before Edge and Chrome came out), still, seems to slowly getting less functional as many sites I simply need to open in Edge or Chrome. Sad as I think that Firefox is the best browser, but, if most sites are developed with Chrome/Edge in mind then Firefox will fall behind in terms of compatibility.

When I close Firefox, the Wikipedia site opens and I have to close that too. Every time. What is going on? How can I get rid of it? Thanks. Windows 11.

This issue came up in early April 2025.
Programs other than Firefox (e.g. Edge, Media Player) behave normally: when playing sound, if nothing is plugged into the 3.5 mm jack, the sound comes from the desktop's external speakers; and when an audio device (speakers or headphones) is plugged into the 3.5 mm jack, the sound instead comes from that device.
Where as Firefox will play using the internal speakers as expected, but when a device is plugged into the 3.5 mm jack, no sound signal goes to that device.
It seems then that the hardware is okay, and the problem must lie within Firefox, or within a Windows setting that is very specific to Firefox.
The sudden onset earlier this month may point to either a Firefox update, or (less likely) a Windows update.

This seems to be occurring at various times in various systems. Solutions are not accessible to lay folks, and Google is inaccessible! Can anyone help us? Thanks

Hello,
I never received a confirmation code to sync with my other computer. I've tried to followed all the instruction per request, still no avi.
I've followed below instruciton from your team:
Search your inbox for emails from accounts@firefox.com with the subject line "Confirm your account". Be sure to also check Spam/Junk folders. Add accounts@firefox.com to your whitelist/address book. After that you, will need to trigger another confirmation email by trying to sign into your account again. Check that you’re using the correct email address. Very often the email you’re trying to sign in with is not the email the account was created with. If you're using an email application to check your inbox, try using your email provider's website instead, or vice-versa. Disable any VPN or special DNS configuration when attempting to sign into your account

When I have firefox open for a while, not sure how long, the display starts to mess up on some pages. When I print those pages, the words are still messed up. One place is printing things form the Virginia Department of Taxation I-File. I do not like to close out of the browser every single day and with other browsers I do not have to. This is new and started this year. Not sure when. How do I fix this issue without having to restart the browser and close out of everything all the time?

Hello,
Since the new version of Firefox desktop 137.0.2 my xslt is no longer interpreted correctly. I use the xpath-function document to load external xml documents in my stylesheet. But no document is since the new version loaded. Also with links to intern pdf-documents I receive the error "file not found".
I saw that in the new version there was changes in xslt. Is my problem a bug or may be exists there a workaround (in changing settings)?
Thanks a lot for your answer. Regards, Tomateus

Hello! I'm trying to download a quantity of audio files from a specific website. Once I open firefox, I can manage to download a few in that session - anywhere from 1 to 10 usually. Then, at some point, the downloads start to hang. They appear as how they do when they're loading - "Unknown time left - 0 bytes (0 bytes/sec)". However, they never load. The only solution is to restart Firefox, to be able to download a few more.
I'm on Linux mint, Firefox version 137.0.2 (64-bit). I tried running firefox through the terminal to see if anything would show up when the downloads stop working, and I got this:

And a lot of "ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment." - but those seem to happen all the time during regular usage.
Any way I can go about troubleshooting this, or am I stuck with restarting Firefox every few files I need to download? Thank you in advance for any help or advice.
