Hi, I have noticed this behavior for a while now and it is becoming bothersome now. It seems to happen ONLY upon initial visit to a site, any site. Once the site loads completely, any links from there loads without the black screen.

Of course, I have searched and tried the known remedies: 1) graphics driver. Chrome, Konqueror and other browsers do not exhibit this behavior. 2) FF add-on's disabled. No permanent difference. 3) Hardware acceleration disabled. No permanent difference.

I'm running 103.0.2 (64-bit) on: Operating System: Kubuntu 22.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.17.5-051705-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz Memory: 23.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: llvmpipe

This is not a deal breaker but should be addressed to make FF more perfect! Best... Hong Son

Disqus is not accepting ANY attempts to upload images and is fairly new...started rejecting image uploads a couple of weeks ago. Uploading still works fine on Chrome.

THIS is the error message:

Unfortunately your image upload failed. Please verify that your image is in a supported format (JPEG, PNG, or GIF) and under 5MB. If you continue seeing this error, please try again later.

Using FF 103.0 and Ubuntu 18.04. I tried again in troubleshooting mode...didn't help

(There are several sites that work well on Chrome but are glitchy one way or another on FFox. I don't like to use (or have to switch to) Chrome for workarounds!)

Is there something I can tweak on my FFox to fix this?

Hello dear Firefox experts,

I have been using Firefox for years and of course I would like to continue doing so. :-)

I work with Windows 10 and have learned to appreciate the virtual desktops, which can be set up via the key combination "Windows + Tab". About the desktops can then be distinguished, for example, in "Office" and "Private".

In total, I have actively set up 4 different desktops.

FF I have set up as the "default app" in the Windows settings.

Now it is the case that I have a Firefox window open in the "private desktop", for example.

But when I work in the "office desktop" and click on a URL, the office desktop automatically switches to the private desktop and opens the URL in the FF already opened there in a new tab! :-(

So I have to remember before to open a new Firefox window in the office desktop to display the desired page also on this desktop.

Unfortunately, this doesn't always work.

If I work in the meantime in another of the 4 active desktops and use Firefox there and return to the office desktop and want to open a URL there again, the desktop jumps back to where I last used the already opened FF. This is quite annoying in the long run.

That's why I ran a test today with Google Chrome and MS Edge and defined each of them as the default app for testing.

Stupidly, these two browsers work exactly as I want them to. If I have already opened one of these browsers in another desktop, the URL will still open in the current desktop and any additional URL as another tab will correctly open in the current desktop.

If I now switch to the private desktop and open a URL there, it will correctly open in a new tab in this desktop.

I hope I was able to illustrate my "problem" so far?

Now my question? How can I change the behavior in FF? This seems to be a standard of FF in contrast to both other browser programs. Disabling in the FF settings "Open links in tabs instead of new windows" seems to be only a rudimentary solution;

but then a new window is opened every time, which is also not useful.

Can something be adjusted in the "deeper" settings?

Many thanks in advance for your tips.

Best regards, Georg

But it's recommended to use the Firefox browser, I tried the below:

- Restarted the computer - Clear cache - Tried to add the website to allow pop-ups - Open website in non-cached mode - Uninstall and delete all Mozilla folders from the AppData, then tried to install it again - Uninstall and delete all Mozilla folders from the AppData, then tried to install the 32-Bit version

Firefox prevented this page from loading in this way because the page has a content security policy that disallows it.

I've signed in on the new computer, not that it matters.

Is the any way I can connect to Sync?

Hi,

I am signed into a Firefox account. I have used this account on at least three different computers. I have downloaded the application anew at least a dozen times.

Firefox randomly, from where I sit, opens things in French rather than English. How can I keep it in English unless otherwise specified (I occasionally want German or Japanese)?

Thank you.

Tonight I performed a computer upgrade (on Ubuntu Studio) that included the latest Firefox version, and it has lost all of my bookmarks and my passwords and I guess lot of other stuff, too.

I can't find any way of restoring them. It will not even recognize the presence of the presence of the other browsers on my system, to import browsers from them.

I need help.

I can't even check my bank account, now.

I'm upset, and I think I have a right to be.

Using Firefox for Mac 103.0.2 (64 bit). When I go to print a PDF, the preview looks fine but the printout is screwy, as described in my title. The result is the same if I "print" to a PDF; that's how I got the image below. If I load the same url for the PDF into Safari, it prints fine from there. In the image below, what's supposed to be printed is an entire mailing label, of course. Printing a regular html page is working fine.

when taking part in a VA video conference, I could get pictures but no sound. (other browsers - edge & chrome- gave me only sound and pictures). I get sound from videos, You Tube, Netflix, etc., but nothing when on the VA video conferencing site. I am using Windows 10 on an HP desktop computer. I even turned off my virus protection to make sure it was not interfering (suggested by VA video conferencing help contact) but that did not help either. Since VA is going to a lot of video conferencing this is creating a real problem. (Checking the settings for the webcam (Logi pro scan) all showed that it was functioning properly. Sound comes in on all other sites using Fire Fox.

I keep my settings on "restore previous session" upon startup; because I use several windows and tabs to organize work on different projects and my general workflow.

After the latest update. Firefox (I'm using developer edition for some reason) crashes upon startup. One of the crash notification windows had me open up in safe mode, which excluded my extensions. There (in safe mode) my previous session opened up and stayed open without crashing. I disabled a few extensions that I no longer use and closed several tabs to see if that would effect the crash problem. I then exited Firefox (I couldn't figure out how to exit safe mode otherwise) and reopened via the start menu. Firefox now opens to what is essentially a new session and I can't figure out how to open the previous one. I'm guessing it "refreshed"? Regardless, is there a way to recover my "previous session" or is it lost forever?

Hello,

I've been using firefox for a while. A few versions ago (I don't remember the correct version), I started noticing some sites have broken font (defaulting the base font as used font is not available) and/or icons not being displayed.

I started investigating my extensions (I'm using ublock origin) and standard protection from firefox. Inside the console and found out that fonts (in my example at least) are being block by CORS policy.

E.g: "Blocking of a cross-origin request: the "Same Origin" policy does not allow viewing the remote resource located at https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/materialicons/v135/flUhRq6tzZclQEJ-Vdg-IuiaDsNc .woff2. Reason: CORS request failed. Status code: (null)." on website "https://materializecss.com/"

That is not breaking the browser but is kinda annoying. How can I do to allow fonts to be downloaded and used ? I've checked with other browsers (chrome/chrome-like/safari) and they work as excepected. Note that it's perfectly working for the very same website on firefox iOS

Thanks !

I am trying to allow push notifications only on certain sites using group policy. In other browsers I can use wildcards to include all subdomains, for example, adding [*.]azurewebsites.net to the allow list would also include https://webpushdemo.azurewebsites.net.

My company has hundreds of intranet sites that could possibly be using push notifications, but I have no way of knowing which ones. I need to be able to whitelist them all without having to specify the exact URL for each one since they are mostly on the same few domains, but so far I have not been able to get it to work using the group policy template.

https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/blob/3.10/README.md#permissions

In the README it says you can't use wildcards because the policy is expecting "origins" and not "domains", whatever that is suppose to means.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Any suggestions on why this happens and how to restore reliability to the screen saver?
