Recently I have had to sign in to my sbcglobal.net email account every single time I open Firefox on my desktop computer. Firefox is default and my sbcglobal.net mail account is set as my home page. This is not a problem on my iPhone. What is the problem with the desktop and why did it start within the last week or 2?

I'm trying to diagnose an unusual problem on a relative's computer elsewhere in the country via TeamViewer. When Firefox is initiated, the same picture (a man taking a shower) appears, and the VERY 'long URL starts with a Yahoo image file (yimg) and also contains buzzfeed.com well into that URL. I thought I could easily diagnose this, and have failed. Home page is set to blank page. I cleared all browsing data. When that failed I exported bookmarks, created a new profile, and the problem still continued, even before importing the bookmarks or adding any extensions. Something is retaining the unwanted startup behavior. Tonight, out of desperation, I will reconnect and look through the registry.

Can anyone surmise why an unwanted URL is being invoked upon Firefox startup?

I get three grey boxes at the top right of the Firefox start-up page. See the attached image. They dissappear if I search and enter another web page. The only way I can get rid of them is to reset Firefox. They return within 24 hours.

What are they and how can I get rid of them?

Hello Mozilla support team,I am facing some issues. I saved about 15-20 URL and pined them on my home page but from 2 days before i couldn't see anything on my home page. please ,help me to solve this problem,,,,i have some important URL's there.I also add a screenshot of my home page . So, kindly help me on this occasion.

I manually added shortcuts to my home screen, but everytime I open the browser, the system automatically has added shortcuts I don't want. Also, when I delete these unwanted shortcuts, another unwanted one appears.

how can I stop this from happening?

I want shortcuts, but not the ones I visit, just the ones I save. Is there a way to make it just the ones I save, or I have to have both. If I must have both, please make it so that its separate.

I have been using this site for a very long time, but, since lastnight (Tuesday January 27, 2026) everything is different. My Theme was gone, the sites I visit were not responding. Am I supposed to set up this page each time I want to use Mozilla? If this is the new normal, then I will not be here long.

Recently when starting the browser I've seen that Microsoft Defender blocks requests to one of my homepage shortcuts, due to it finding the URL suspicious. My question is as the title suggests: does Firefox ping the URLs or fetch metadata of said domains automatically/in the background to update the icons, website title, etc? It is always suspicious to find Microsoft Defender stating it blocks request to websites I haven't accessed in a while. So I'm trying to deduce if it is a feature and not a ghost in the wires...

Hi, a while ago I have set my browser homepage to have links to recently visited sites and pages and I had set a background too, but a few days ago it suddenly seemed to forget about all my search history and settings for some reason, as you can see in the screenshot below. This behavior does not happen with any other part/functionality of the browser. I don't really know what could be going on, so I'm reaching out here.
