in the last couple of days every time i download the file it adds the above characters to the name. very annoying - i need then to rename every file. any suggestions?

I can't download ANYTHING on Firefox I've been tempted to switch to Chrome again because of this like why can I not download I don't THINK I did anything wrong either and it's really becoming frustrating I'm sorry

Please help me when my file downloaded it seems extention is added to my file.

Ex: i downloaded a file name questionare.xlsx the output for the file is UTF-8questionare.xlsx

Please give me feedback and resolution for this issue. This just happend in April 17,2025.

I have installed to Firefox Extension - the latest version - and have paid $19.99 for the lifetime version with updates ... (may have been 1 year - not sure) - however, the sidebar will not recognize any of the YouTube Videos for download.

 Since some days I have the problem that all files I download from outlook are accompanied by a preceding UTF-8 in the file name. This is not the case for e.g. google chrome. Can I fix this problem by myself, or is it a general problem of firefox 128.9esr (64-bit)?

When accessing Outlook (https://outlook.office.com) using Firefox ESR version 128.9.0 and attempting to download a file attached to an email, the string 'UTF-8' is automatically inserted at the beginning of the file name, which is causing issues. This phenomenon does not occur with other browsers such as Edge or Chrome.

Is there a way to solve this problem?

My Firefox got corrupted while I was in Mexico. Now I am back in US and trying to download Firefox. Error message in Safari that says "cannot create folder." What can I do to fix?

Hello! I'm trying to download a quantity of audio files from a specific website. Once I open firefox, I can manage to download a few in that session - anywhere from 1 to 10 usually. Then, at some point, the downloads start to hang. They appear as how they do when they're loading - "Unknown time left - 0 bytes (0 bytes/sec)". However, they never load. The only solution is to restart Firefox, to be able to download a few more.

I'm on Linux mint, Firefox version 137.0.2 (64-bit). I tried running firefox through the terminal to see if anything would show up when the downloads stop working, and I got this:

And a lot of "ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment." - but those seem to happen all the time during regular usage.

Any way I can go about troubleshooting this, or am I stuck with restarting Firefox every few files I need to download? Thank you in advance for any help or advice.
