How can I disable the annoying function of automatic download of attachments every time I access one even though I used to be able to just open them or decide to download. Tired of deleting every blasted file into recycle when I don't want this. It doesn't matter if I select "ask where to download" box is checked.

For several weeks now I've been experiencing issues with accessing google sites. YouTube videos will constantly display the "Connect to the internet. You're offline. Check your connection." error page. Additionally gmail and google drive will constantly give the "OOPs" error message. Sometime the page will load w constant refreshes but this is not ideal.

I've done the following:

Clear history/cookies Opening in troubleshoot mode Disable hardware acceleration Refresh/Reinstall

Still getting the same results. Not having any issues with edge/chrome. Does anyone have anything else that could be done?

Firefox Browser 102.0.1 (64 bit) Windows 10 OS

There is No PC Firefox search microphone icon in address bar and No PC Firefox search microphone icon in google search. I can tap Settings. Scroll to the Privacy and Security section and tap on Site permissions. Next, tap on Microphone. However, there is no search microphone icon on Firefox address bar or in google search to click on. I tried to set cookie preferences for different websites. For reasons that I do not understand, I cannot move the "slider". I even turned of the existing protection for the websites, but nothing changed. I tried the same with Safari using the same computer and mouse, and I had no problems.

Is this a known bug?

I am not too good with the computer and have just starting using Firefox. I will do my best to describe my question so please bar with me. I have 2 rows of websites that I frequent...actually only using the first row and 5 spaces in the second row. When I go to a different website Firefox is automatically adding that website to one of the boxes in the second row which I do not want. How do I stop this? Question 2...using Ebay as an example...if I keep searching on Ebay and have looked at lets say 5 different pages how do I go back to the home screen without having to hit the back button 6 times? Hello - there are add-ons for Amazon, Google, Facebook, EBay and Twitter - none of which I added - showing up on the Firefox browser as running during browser start. I can see them when I use CC Cleaner. They are browser plugins set to run upon start up. I can disable them but need to do it every time, as there is no way to delete them that I can see. I would like to find out why these plugins are there and how I can delete them.

I have never seen something like this before and I would like to know what it means and if I should exclude this, etc. So that's why I send you a mail to check it. Like to hear from you and many thanks in advance. Greetz Karin

i'd like to copy my Firefox profile from PC1 to a new PC2;

Last time i tried this, i ended up with PC2 having the same "name" as PC1 in "Sync". This caused weird sync issues, as the system thought my PC2 was PC1 as vice versa.

So, is it possible to copy my entire profile with all addons/settings, BUT, make "Sync" recognize it as a NEW pc ?

Hi, I'm back to an older computer where I already had Firefox installed. I have it installed and synchronized on 3 other computers and it works perfectly there. My main issue is that in the settings, Firefox is supposed to open with all the tabs I had opened when I closed it. It doesn't... It sends me to the home page. Second issue, also unique: I'm using Duck and go as search engine, and I have the same issue: it doesn's save my preferences (when it does on the same computer with Brave browser) Should I uninstall it all and try again? I already applied all the solutions suggested in th online help pages...

I installed a plug in and have now lost all my Firefox configuration, stored pages etc. I backup my entire PC everyday and can restore individual files. What Windows 10 files need to be restored in order to return my Firefox before the crash?

HI for the past four days I have been getting the following error message when attempting to load www.canberratimes.com.au

"Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information"

This is happening on my Windows PC only. I can access the site on my Firefox browser on IOS.

I am running the most recent version of Firefox 102.0.1 (64 bit).

This is the only site displaying this message.

Grateful for any assistance in resolving this.

I recently installed Firefox 102.0.1 64-bit on a new WinX laptop. Using the same link as always (http://www.henderson.lib.nc.us/) I am unable to connect with my county library. I'm not having trouble with other sites. The error message says

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.hendersoncountync.gov. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

I turned off HTTPS-Only Mode but the problem persisted. I also tried entering this site as an exception for HTTPS-Only but that didn't help. Even after restarting the computer, Firefox continues to reset the URL to HTTPS from HTTP. My wife was able to access this website on her desktop WinX with Firefox and no problem. On my WinX desktop with Firefox I connected to https://www.hendersoncountync.gov/library instantly.

Is the HTTPS-Only Mode sticky? What am I missing?

I have used Firefox for years. I am computer literate and do not like the newer approach Firefox has taken to save all downloads to my downloads folder. I have to continually go in and manually delete the files.

For instance, I have a lot of pdf forms that I have to open directly in Acrobat, those files are then duplicated and saved in my downloads. This is causing a mess for me.

This was NOT an improvement in my opinion. Is there a way to stop this???
