Scrolling in Firefox is causing any webpage to scroll many lines at once with a single click, and it seems to be exclusively happening to Firefox, as every other application scrolls normally. I have tried searching here and elsewhere for a solution, and I have tried to change about:config settings based on the recommendations I could find to no avail. I have also tried to refresh Firefox and have used Troubleshoot Mode, but those too have not worked. I have no clue as to what could have caused this, as I have not been messing with any settings prior to this.

I have a new PC running Kubuntu 22.04, with Mozilla Firefox 120.0.1 (64 bit) installed. Standard, the system window title bar was hidden. But I wanted access to the "Move to desktop" menu and wanted the title in the title bar. So, in "Customize toolbar" I checked "Title bar". The title bar reappeared, but a complete border along the Firefox window became inaccessible, and when clicking in that zone, it effectively clicked in the window behind. In particular, the complete menu bar is inaccessible, as well as the scroll bar on the left and in the bookmarks sidebar the fold/unfold. And Mozilla Thunderbird 115.5.0 has the same annoying behaviour. Even when hovering over some menus in the Mozilla window, you can sometimes see reactions from the window under the Mozilla window. On older Kubuntu computers (up to 18.04) with older versions of Firefox (up to 113.0.2) and Thunderbird (up to 102.11.0) I do not have that problem. How can I get at the same time access to both the system title bar and the menu bar ?

Running Firefox 120.0.1 on Windows 10. I also run Vivaldi and test with Chrome. I installed Google Analytics Opt-Out add-ons on FF, Vivaldi, and Chrome. When I go to any site with links to X (Twitter), and click on the link, instead of that link appearing the last X link I went to appears. If I click again I get to the correct link.

When I disable the Google Analytics Opt-Out add-on all works fine. This doesn't happen with either of the Chromium browsers, so I'm thinking there's something happening in Firefox by avoiding Google analytics that isn't in the Chromium browsers. In addition, this behavior began within the past couple of weeks of recent FF updates.

I installed several different Google Analytics add-ons and the same thing happened in FF, but not in the Chromium browsers.

Any ideas? I know I can disable the analytics crushers but I really don't want Google hijacking my browsing.

When visiting some smaller and less known websites on my computer it shows the error message "connection has timed out" but on my laptop it loads just fine. For whatever reason, I can't find a simple way to file a bug report. Starting 120.0, or maybe in 120.0.1, I've started seeing a cursor appearing next to buttons and other components on web pages that you definitely would not expect to see cursors next to.

It seems that a cursor has started to display when I click on web components even if it's not a text entry field. I've included a screen shot that includes a cursor appearing next to the Refresh button in Gmail, for example.

There's even a cursor appear in the "Browse" button on this very page in the Add Images section.

Hello,

we have a BigBlueButton Server setup for our company. Until recently we used a TURN-Server to tunnel the UDP connections thrugh the firewall.

Due to performance issues we wanted to try and let the clients connect directly to the udp ports 16000 - 32000

In Chrome this works as expected.

In Firefox however when we set "media.peerconnection.turn.disable" to "true" FF does not find any WebRTC candidates. We checked the logs and it says there:

"relay only option is set without any TURN server configured" "relay/proxy only option results in ICE TCP being disabled"

But thats NOT true! The option "media.peerconnection.ice.relay_only" is definetly set to "false"

Tested on FF 115.5.0 ESR and 120.0.1

Does anyone have an idea whats happening here? Why doesnt FF even try to make a direct connection?

UPDATE: I just ran a test on our dev system. If we configure BBB so that it does not offer any TURN-servers, FF uses a direct connection. Sadly that is not possible, since we need the TURN server for external connections. When there are TURN-Candidates but TURN is disabled via FF config no connection is established at all. This definetly semms like a bug in FF, since the browser should still be able to simply try and connect directly.

Thank you for you support

Update to Firefox (120.0.1) in Linux Mint blocks CNN - its the only site which appears to be blocked. I get a message telling me that configuration of the site is blocking CNN from loading, and goes on as follows.

"" We apologize, but your web browser is configured in such a way that it is preventing this site from implementing required components that protect your privacy and allow you to view and change your privacy settings. This functionality is required for privacy legislation in your region.

We recommend you use a different browser or disable the “EasyList Cookie” filter from your “Content Filtering” settings (found under “Settings” -> “Shields” in the Brave Browser). ""

Rather strange, since I'm using Firefox.

In general, I am thoroughly annoyed with the way the Internet experience is increasingly fouled up by various sites implementing "safety" aspects. It used to be fun, now its a crap experience. Firefox is getting bigger, slower, and infested with site 'improvements' which do absolutely nothing for me - Is it so hard to provide a simple, clean, straightforward browser without so many 'add-ons' that its grinding to a halt? Time was software was written for the users, now its clearly written to give software developers something to do. Can't you create a revolution in software and do something useful, instead of "clever"?

I frequently use GroupMe on desktop from Firefox, on two separate computers (a self-built desktop, and a Dell Latitude laptop).

Starting sometime over a week ago, I have been unable to drag & drop or otherwise upload photos in my chats. The only method that works is pasting direct URLs of JPGs.

In all other circumstances, I get the uploaded image error attached to this post.

Two different GroupMe support agents have said that, since image upload is still working in Edge, that it's a Firefox problem.

Tried clearing cache, site cookies, reset the browser, ran in troubleshooting mode...same result every time.

This is not the "image file size too big" error. I used to routinely post captures from the Snipping Tool, and I can't anymore.

I'm not sure where else to go to troubleshoot this. It's very annoying. Any suggestions?

Foxnews.com causes Firefox 102.0.1 to freeze when scrolling pages with lots of images. Closing and restarting FF does not help. The freeze reoccurs. What does help for awhile is to delete the file places.sqlite. After that FF runs for a few hours until the problem happens again. Is there a setting or other fix for this issue?

AdBlockPlus and uBlock Origin are both installed, but are disabled on www.foxnews.com.

Hello to everybody, My question: Opening local .mdb files (MS Access database) does no longer work in Firefox 120, but was ok in previous releases. The only choice is to save the file rather than onening it with MS access. Under Firefox settings/applications the file type .mdb does not appear. If I answer the question "What should Firefox do with other files?" with "Ask whether to open or save files" it has no effect at all. I expect to find an entry for .mdb files where to choose "always ask" as was the case earlier. Please help!

I'm using a new PC with Windows 11 and find that I, inadvertently close Firefox with 16-20 open tabs. Most of the time when I reopen FF, the tabs are still there, as expected. Sometimes, the browser opens with just a new home page and the pinned and other tabs have closed. I can sometimes see the 16ish tabs in history and reopen them. More recently, I find that they are not in history as a number of tabs so I have to set them up again. This rarely happened on my old PC and if it did I would have bookmarked a group of open tabs that I used regularly.

The failsafe FF General setting is as follows: Startup, Open previous windows and tabs.

I don't know how I can stop losing my open Tabs but if I was able to bookmark all the open tabs to be used in case of a problem I would feel more secure.

How do I bookmark ALL or several my open tabs?
