I am being sent messages from firefox saying I need to update Firefox, and that I can't until I buy a new system, a new laptop? I have a macbook pro with all my photography programs on, (Im a photographer) fully functioning, world travelled, RAM'd up and wonderful. I have just been ejected from communicating with friends around the world with Skype because they too want me to chuck out my working Mac Book Pro, buy a new one at around £1000, buy the extra Ram I'll need for it, and spend hours/days loading up all my existing programs, links and functions to bring it up to the speck of the one I am using happily now, just so I can keep using Firefox? This is more trouble that having to go to your home page to click on the envelope. When I click on my mail icon on my desktop, a request for my password come up and it only recognizes my i-phone. Once I put in the "key" it doesn't help me use my desktop like it did for years. The only way I can access my mail on my desktop is click on Foxfire which goes to the Yahoo home page and then click on the envelope. Why did this change and can I ever use my desktop "inbox" icon again?

Beginning four days ago, the screen freezes when, having opened an email from a magazine, I click on and try to read an article contained within the email. The screen does not freeze when I go directly from MSN to a news story from the Post or Times or Guardian, only when I'm in my Hotmail account. AND it does not freeze when I access that account using Safari. I know I'm now out of date and unsupported, whatever that means, but I'm told the only solution to that is to relegate this lovely Mac to the scrapheap. Anyway, this new habit of freezing is a specific problem which should have a specific solution short of buying a new computer. Thanks for your help.
