I'm running Debian Stretch and the packaged version of Firefox (91) runs fine but seems a bit dated. I installed ver. 104 manually and everything is fine except that there is no audio. I changed the setup Privacy and Security Autoplay to 'Allow Audio and Video' -- no audio. I've restarted in troubleshoot mode -- no audio. Other browsers, including ver. 91 of Firefox have no trouble with audio. Any ideas? On quitting I get these messages:

Trying to use ProctorU with Firefox 104.0.2 on Windows 11 Home, and I am getting the following message : "Monitor Count : You may only use 1 monitor during your exam. Your monitor count could not be found". I searched for possible fixes, and someone mentioned removing fingerprinters, and possibly also remove cookies and tracking content from Firefox enforcement. I removed all 3 and that did not help. I also tried clearing cookies and site data and also cached web content, this did not help. Is there some other setting in Firefox that might be preventing the detection of the monitor count? Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

I'm using a new laptop so everything is a fresh install. A few of the newsletters I've signed up for are now using GetResponse for their marketing. Any link I click on in these emails leads me to a "The page you're looking for doesn't exist" error 404. No matter what I try (disabling all extensions & setting Firefox's config setting 'extensions.blocklist.enabled' to false). Both of the companies that send the newsletters as well as GetResponse don't really seem to care and just blame Firefox. Can anyone help me fix this... if in fact it's something on my laptop that's creating the issue? I only use Firefox browser... nothing else and would hate to starting using some unsafe browser just to access these links. Thanks.

When I click the download button I usually see my recent downloads and click open the file directly from the drop down. After 10-20 downloads are performed the drop down no longer shows my recent files until I restart firefox. I think the issue is once you hit a certain amount of downloads the preview drop down no longer works. Is this a know bug? Its happening on any pc, im on version 104.0.2 (64-bit)

I keep getting alerts from Norton while browsing ran Norton's scan and MBAM then ran Norton's Power Eraser. I did not fine the source of the problem. I added an entry to my hosts file hoping it would block the IP but it doesn't seem to work, I may have done something wrong. Firefox for Windows hangs when I copy text, either by Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C or by using a right-click menu. The browser just stops responding. It doesn't crash. Eventually, it will return and behave normally.

I tried removing all extensions and closing all open tabs. No change. I'm out of ideas. I suspect it may be trying to synchronize with something it can't find or there's network latency. Task Manager shows it's using a lot of resources. It doesn't do it every time, just often enough to be frustrating.

I'm using Firefox 104.0.2 (64 bit) under Windows 11.

Under Settings I have selected Startup Open Previous Windows and Tabs.

I normally have more than a dozen tabs.

For the past few days, when I start Firefox my previous session is not restored and I just get the single Firefox tab.

When I got to History there is no longer a Restore Previous Session option.

How do I get it back?

I'm pretty sure I'm not alone when I ask how we can disable the "Update available" popup in the top right-hand corner that appears every time we open the browser.

I have auto-updates turned off because I would like to choose myself when to update the browser and really hate being nagged by the update popup to do so!!!

To be clear, I don't want to turn off updates entirely with the "policies.json" file that I've seen with other questions; I just want to disable the update popup and still be able to update periodically AT MY OWN DISCRETION.

I really don't know why it's so hard for FF developers to give us that popup disabling option. I have always suggested using FF to people I know for over 10 years, but will no longer do so and will be looking for an alternate browser if this continues.

FF is becoming more like Microsoft by trying to dictate what's best for us at the expense of user experience.

I just installed Firefox. I looked at a few articles here that seem to be relevant to my issue, but they didn't get me anywhere. I just want to export bookmarks from Chrome to Firefox.

I'm having an issue with Netflix, i am unable to play anything there at all. It always shows a message saying "firefox is installing components needed to play the audio or video on this page" and refuses to load anything, showing an error, F7701-1003.

After some investigation, i found out that the issue is with Firefox not loading "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc.". I have seasrched and tried several troubleshooting processes, and was unable to find a solution. Refreshing, reinstalling, manually deleting the profile folder, all fails

I've just rebooted and I've lost two windows with thirty tabs, or something.

When I started Firefox, there's nothing in the Recently Closed [Tabs, Windows]

Reading online, I see that Firefox should be writing some files to the sessionstore-backup directory, like these:

recovery.jsonlz4: the windows and tabs in your currently live Firefox session (or, if Firefox crashed at the last shutdown and is still closed, your last session) recovery.baklz4: a backup copy of recovery.jsonlz4 previous.jsonlz4: the windows and tabs in your last Firefox session upgrade.jsonlz4-build_id: the windows and tabs in the Firefox session that was live at the time of your last update

, but I only find recovery.jsonlz4 and recovery.baklz4 and both are tracking current time, which means they are getting data from the currently opened Firefox.

These are the only files I find in this directory.

Where are the other files supposed to have gone?

On my Firefox (in Linux, at least), doing Ctrl+H toggles the History sidebar (opening it on the left side, or, hiding the sidebar completely).

How can I disable this?

I want to use my own unsigned addon with my daily browsing. But I found out that firefox hates it's user base by making xpinstall.signatures.required option in about:config only available to dev builds.

If I use firefox dev build will I loose on performance? For example is it compiled with debug symbols that slow down code execution? And if so, is it somehow possible to get the release version of firefox where xpinstall.signatures.required is set false so that I would not loose because of dev build?

why always my mozilla broswer keeps crashing i am worried about this i have reported this many times but no response I request you to find some solution for my problem.

Even though I'm on v104, chase.com says "Firefox version not supported". If I reinstall - same thing. Same website on Edge has no problem.

Reviewed this question from a year ago. I am having problem signing into Chase.com. The issues are the same as many others have written about. I can't believe this can not be fixed/addressed. If it continues I will be forced to delete Moz://a firefox after many years. Please address and supply personal support options like share screen to help fix issues such as this.

A few of my sub-folders within my bookmarks do not show up in the Toolbar and Sidebar. The same bookmarks' sub-folder are present in the Bookmarks library (that's accessed from Firefox settings).

Could you please help with how I can get these sub-folders to show up in the Toolbar/Sidebar, please.
