Hello,

since the last automatic update of the Widevine Content Decryption Module (updated today, automatically) the plugin keeps crashing when I want to watch "TV" waipu.tv. I have already re-installed firefox etc, it just won't work.

I have submitted several crash reports, this is the latest: bp-7bc4b8a4-e59b-4f7e-a840-7c0720210422

See screenshot of "crashed"-notice below.

What can I do to fix this?

Hello,

I tend to have Firefox running with two multi-account containers - one for work and one for personal accounts. Typically I tend to have a window open with work tabs and a separate window with personal tabs. Often I close this and recall them with ctrl+shift+n. However I sometimes find that popups will get into the stack of closed windows - either things like paypal pop-outs or Visual Studio starting a browser when debugging. Done enough times I loose the window (and all the tabs) that I previously had (as the stack of closed windows only seems to hold 2-3 windows).

Is there any way to mark a window / tab configuration as 'persistent' so that even if I close that window & open others I can restore that particular window / tab configuration? Ideally without having to manually save it somewhere each time - I tend to like to just pick up with personal work where I left off rather than saving a set of default tabs.

Thanks in advance!

I already abandoned Firefox browser after they forced a "refresh" on me thus deleting all my bookmarks buttons, bookmarks etc. etc. Over the years of all this b/s I finally decided to never again. Had enough of Mozilla nonsense.

I'm working on a project where we run Firefox in a container and I need to insert a cookie into the sqlite cookie DB to ensure it's available when Firefox is started. I have some script that runs before Firefox is started and know that I can create a profile on the command line e.g. `firefox --headless -CreateProfile foo` However this simply creates the profile dir and does not create the sqlite cookie DB or relevant tables. Is there a way to force creation of the cookie DB from the command line? Ideally, I want to create the Firefox profile & sqlite cookie DB at the point I build my docker image. The cookie would be inserted when the container runs, before Firefox is started. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Is there an option to get the old behavior back? When I'm browsing for reference images and I want to just have an image or video in a window I could just right click and use view image/video. Now it's open in a new tab.

You essentially just added one useless click to the whole thing which is me having to close the tab the image came from.

If you answer with, "You can just use copy image link and paste it in the same tab." You just turned what was right click then left click into right click, left click, move mouse over, click to highlight the address, ctrl+v

When I have to do this to hundreds of images every day, every single little click counts.

So, can I restore the old and better functionally? And really, when you do these changes, give an option to keep the old method or keep both.... Gesh...

Firefox updated itself two days ago and now 'Bookmark this page' is no longer listed in the Bookmarks drop down menu. I want it replaced. Just as it was. LIKE THIS: Click on Bookmarks, select 'Bookmark this page' or Edit this bookmark' , select 'Done'. Then I am finished with that particular bookmark. I know all about the "bookmark star" procedure - not interested. The question is simply how to put 'Bookmark this page' BACK WHERE IT WAS? In the 'Bookmarks' drop down menu. Nothing else, just this one thing. I have read too many post with out seeing a solution to this exact question that I and others are asking. Thanks for anyone's help

I have been a fan of the awesomebar for quite some time; tab selection using % enables progress after chaotic web surfing and bookmark searching using * circumvents the need of retracing already known websites. (I have removed suggestions and history though, I find that those are mostly in the way.)

One limitation for me as a programmer is that while searching for Python helps me find the correct bookmarks, including C in a search is not helpful, as a c anywhere in a bookmark will give a hit. This even goes for '.com'! The same problem occurs when searching for bookmarks in the bookmark library.

My suggested improvement would be to allow search terms to be interpreted narrowly. This could be done by adding quotes, for example "C" (single quotes could also work).

Is this already possible in some way? And if not, where would be the best place to suggest the improvement? [feedback page reads "Please check back soon"] ( and I'm not sure whether this suits the Bugzilla platform.

Miro.com is an online collaborative whiteboard. When using the mouse, the scroll wheel is used by the site to zoom in/out of the whiteboard. As of Firefox 88, the speed at which zoom occurs on this website when using the mouse wheel is much faster than in previous releases of Firefox, causing the zoom steps to be much too large too fast. This has made it difficult to use this site.

Note that I'm not talking about Firefox magnification zoom, but about how Firefox is passing mouse wheel information to the Miro.com website for use in their whiteboard zoom feature.

Other users on the Miro community board are reporting they fixed this issue by reverting to Firefox 87:

However, upon logging into your firefox account to sync the data, it requires a code from the email account. BUT, the password to my email account is on the firefox account I'm trying to sign into, meaning I can't sign into my email to get the code to sign into firefox. I had to make a new account (the one I'm using now) in order to ask a question about it. Please help as soon as possible.

I am an old fart (76) and had firefox reasonably set up and nor this tired old brain must remember how it was and how to jump through the hoops that the juveniles thought as better... Give me a break !! the complaint I had which I found a workaround was to DELETE up to 1G of cookies so I had a little usable ram and space on my HDD... Some of the cookies were HUGE... My OS has been Linux mint or other flavours of Linux since about 1990 and used to boot in less than 20 seconds, then it would load the previous days applications where I left off in another 10 seconds... Now, judging by the sixes of the files downloaded to refresh Firefox you are writing BLOATWARE WTF... Why do you think I would not touch Intel & windoze? DAZE of compulsory Amerikan speling & corporate spying are numbered if this keeps deteriorating... 20,000 cookies a day? and how big is the file to install firefox... That is what I call BLOATWARE...

I watch informative YT but when it gets boringly repetitive I just scan what is force fed in the vain hope I will spot something of interest... 90% is crap, or dumb'ed down BS to find a few paste jewels...

My brain is somewhat addled with Dementia, and afflicted with aspects of Asperger's Syndrome, Bi polar disorder... Give me a break Please...
