I occasionally get a Authentication Failed to Server (Outlook.com) and when it occurs it continues for 1-5 minutes then goes away again.

Is there any error logging proceedure that I can set up to see what the exact issue is?

I've tried running a parallel alternative email client (eM Client) and that doesn't seem to suffer in the same way, but I much prefer Thunderbird so would like to find out what the problem is.

I have a Blackview Tab16 (10" screen), which I bought last year; it was running Firefox quite happily until a couple of months ago. Now when I click on the icon, I get a sort of 'welcome' screen (with some message about a search widget?) for a fraction of a second, then FF closes and I get an error message saying 'Sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed.' The version of FF is 126.0. I was told to try clearing the cache, but there is nothing there to clear! The tablet is running Android 12 / DoKe OS V3.0.

I have an 8" Blackview tablet which - despite needing to be plugged in to run all the time! - opens & runs Firefox perfectly happily. It's my main browser on my MacBook as well, and will run on my iPhone.

Yesterday I found that emails are not displaying in the folders. At the top alongside "Inbox" it says I have 28 emails but only 12 are displaying, and this is repeated in other folders. The attached photo shows another folde saying there are 35 messages in the inbox but only 8 displayed. Where are the others?

Also, now when I open the program no new emails appear and the "Get Messages" does not download any new emails.

I have not made any changes to anything .

I am running Thunderbird on another laptop and it is fine. Are there any fixes or do I have to reinstall the program?

Each time that I open an email, another tab appears in the status bar: Thunderbird Privacy Notice. I need to manually delete them for each email that I open. This is a nuisance. How can I stop these tabs from cluttering my status bar?

I have used Firefox exclusively for years. I use Hushmail but recently I am missing the respond to email bar that was always there. I have to use Edge and Chrome (but not a fan of) and Hushmail works like it used to. Something about Firefox must be the difference. Can you help me?

There is (IMHO) some missing functionality / unwanted feature or call it what you like (bug?).

History -> Manage History

select e.g. Last 7 days, right click on Name and select at least two attributes (you can choose from: Tags, Location,Most Recent Visit, Added and Last Modified)

Select the first entry of the list, all displayed fields are selected/highlighted.

Copy (either with the menu or with Ctrl-C) and paste it in your favourite text editor.

Why is only the URL copied? Other fields were also highlighted. Why are they not included?

This is WYSINWYG (what you see is not what you get).

It is possible to export bookmarks as an html file, so why is this not possible with history?

OK, it is possible to query the sqlite3 database directly to get some history info but it's a bit cumbersome.

To do so,

  copy the sqlite (places.sqlite) database to some safe place then open the database (with 'sqlite3 places.sqlite')
  get the history info you are interested in with a sqlite query,
  e.g. select title,visit_count,site_name,url,description,last_visit_date from moz_places where url like '%support%';

But there is no simple (AFAIK) way to convert 'last_visit_date' (an integer) to something human readable.

So either include the whole selection when something is copied (WYSIWYG) or provide export history as an html file.

Any suggestions?

When I put a video or an image gallery to full screen, the navigation buttons, clock, and status bar don't hide.

They often appear as though they're going to hide, for a split second, but frustratingly bounce right back into view.

On rare occasions, it seems to be random chance, the status bar, clock, and navigation buttons do hide, but I don't know how to get them to hide every time.

I've already tried disabling picture in picture for the app but that has not helped.

What are the reasons the buttons and clock would not hide in full screen? How would we go about fixing things?

I have not received my new emails and have tried different options to get it to work. It also says I have 300+ emails in trash but they don't show up for deletion. I have tried restoring default, I tried troubleshooting and nothing has worked. It all started yesterday afternoon when I tried to get my emails. They are in the server but are not loading on my Thunderbird page

I refreshed Firefox last night. Now, Facebook doesn't display images--it displays about half; the rest are blank boxes. Facebook closes while I'm typing. A game I've been playing freezes and I have to close it and re-open it. Telus email seems to be fine. My Google results are in massive type and I can't adjust it.

Attempting to type just one letter in the search bar in Settings will make the entire app unresponsive. I only got this problem ever since I upgraded to Sonoma 14.5.

I've been using Firefox for about six months. I'm a MacBook user with the most recent version of Sonoma installed. After a month or so of using Firefox it starts crashing and freezing. Sometimes I can't restart it for several minutes. Whenever this happens, I refresh it. I've refreshed it about twice. I've re-installed it twice too, but it keeps happening. Most settings are default, but I wanted to include the settings in case this could be the problem: - I've turned off Firefox home content - I've turned off all passwords and autofill features - Never Remember History - Do Not Track and Tell Websites not to share/sell my data are turned on - I left the standard-level security settings as is

I have one extension installed.

The only other browser I have installed is Safari and I am not having these issues. I should add that I don't receive any error messages when this happens, it just freezes. The most recent issue is that I was clicking on buttons on a website and it wasn't working, but when I started using the Safari browser (which also set to private mode) it worked fine.

When it works I love Firefox and would like to keep using it. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this.

I cannot print from Firefox. It worked fine, and then stopped. I'm not sure what changed. It doesn't matter what printer I use. Even printing to PDF fails. No errors appear, and nothing shows up in the printer queue. All the other applications in Windows print just fine. It's just Firefox. And just for this one Windows user.

I tried clearing the saved printer settings in the about:support page. I tried refreshing Firefox. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. I tried uninstalling, removing the mozilla folder in %appdata%, and reinstalling Firefox. No luck.

The only time I can get it to print anything is to log into a different user account on this same PC. Printing from Firefox seems to work then.

It seems there is some user-specific printer setting/file/whatever that is messed up. I'm not sure what else to try.

Everytime I select Firefox-Settings.. the Settings window opens and then crashes

This crashes with Troubleshoot mode selected

After rebooting a Windows 10 computer, and starting Firefox, two Firefox Windows open. The second one opens Yahoo on it's Tab with no other Tabs open. Before booting, there was only one Firefox window open. This has happened before in the past.

Could this be fixed.

I have also reported several times that at times, Bookmark folders are found missing but found in strange places where I did NOT move them. I have been told that this could be possibly caused because of my very large Bookmark file. It would be very nice if this was resolved. I have reported this at bugzilla.mozilla.org.

While I haven't encountered this problem enough to have sussed out what sequence of events causes it, Thunderbird will occasionally get into a mode where I can't switch windows focus. (See the attached screen shot of the Task Manager showing you can't "switch to" Thunderbird.)

When this happens nothing seems to work except killing the task via Task Manager. Not optimal.

This time - the most recent occurrence (today) - when this happened, there was an outstanding update. After killing the task and restarting I got the message "Thunderbird is installing your updates." Still not optimal, even if it is a critical update.

At some point after a Firefox and/or Windows update, Firefox started to stall after working for a while. When I open Firefox, I start surfing using multiple tabs, using bookmarks, typing URLs, or clicking on web links and then suddenly, the little dot in the current tab where I am trying to access another link, starts moving right and left indefinitely, apparently waiting or unable to access the desired page. After that I type well-known URLs (such as google.com) that I know "always" work, and the same thing happens. From then on Firefox cannot access any URL I throw at it (no error messages or warning of any kind) until I close Firefox and reopen. Once I reopen, the cycle repeats: it works for a while until it doesn't. I have cleared all cookies and caches, I have erased or disabled all extensions, but the problems persists. Any advise? I have had this problem on two separate midrange samsung phones now: after about an hour of browsing, firefox slows down considerably. Pages take a long time to load and tapping input registers erratically, sometimes i tap a link and after a few seconds a different link opens, as though the tap was registered from a different spot on the screen. This is happening even on a brand new phone, and after emptying the cache. I wish I could keep using this app because of privacy concerns but it is genuinely unusable for me now. This problem has cropped up in the past half a year

I'm a long time FF user, the developer edition is my preferred browser. It suddenly started crashing, a complete removal and new install did not help.I posted a help question a couple of weeks ago but no workable solution surfaced unfortunately. I assume the problem is still the same.

ps. I'm currently using the standard FF verison and it runs smooth as ever....
