Firefox's built-in PDF viewer is not as mature as the Adobe Acrobat plugin. That said, I'm not sure why there would be a problem with an image extracted from a PDF if it was embedded in a format that Firefox supports. Do you see any lines if you open the original source image in Firefox?

There has been a thread before about a similar issue where the images appeared to be not in one piece, but consisted of several small images and those were displayed with lines between the different parts.

Hi Billybear, I was thinking that it would still exist in a folder on the computer of the person that created the PDF, or could be extracted from the source document (e.g., MS Word). Then you can drag and drop it onto an open Firefox tab to view it.

Hmm, that still looks like the PDF. Can you track down the JPG part separately, or was it composed in a program that rasterized the photos and the text into a single large image?

I appreciate you helping me here! I composed it in Microsoft Word and saved it as a pdf. The jpg image is on my computer. BTW: this pdf displays perfectly fine in Google Chrome and IE.

So if you drag that JPG into a Firefox tab, is that the second link you posted or does that look different?

Do you use PDF Maker to create PDFs in Word, or print to PDF using Distiller or another printer driver?

If I drag the jpg itself it displays fine. I used the Word Pdf maker.
