Does it help you to have two midsize pages side by side? Also you know you can open a web page then reduce it to in icon on the taskbar, then double click on the big firefox icon to open a second browser for a second web page. this way you will not have tabs. after you open second browser make it midsize. Then make the icon full size then midsize. Then place pointer on top edge of browser hold down left click and move left or right.

I am not sure this will work on your system. When I have multi pages open the firefox icon on my task bar has offset images like playing cards. When I place my pointer on that icon small boxes appear above the icon. If I move my pointer up to the image I want and left click it is restored full size. I have windows 8 your vista may be different. When you have multi pages do you have multi tabs at the top of the page? If so change pages by left clicking on the tab you want.

Hi, Thank you for reply yes I do got Vista and I can see tabs, let me give you an easy example. If I want to move images or files from one folder to another we can minimize one window and drag and drop on the other. We can see the fully opened windows behind the minimized window right. This is how we can do in web browser. Do I need some Add-ons something like Browser splitter?

Thank you.

You are now asking a different question. If you try to an image from one web page display to another web page I think the web page would not like this as you are changing the web page display. I only know that if you use the right click button on your mouse while the pointer is on a photo it will display many options. You can save image to a file, email image or open link in new window. You have many options. If my first answer helped you go back and click on the yes button under my answer.

Thank you for reply. It was not a different question but just an example.

Glad I could help did not understand problem at first. Also want you to know you can have 3 or 4 browsers open at the same time. Open the first browser go to your web page reduce it to an icon on taskbar. Open another browser with the big icon get web page, reduce to icon. And so on notice as you build up icons they overlap. Put pointer on the icon stack and small images appear above, move pointer up to the one you want single left click will make it full size.

Hi cor-el,

What are the advantages of using splitters vs opening more than one browser?
Thanks, David241
more options

The advantage is that you have the pages in one tab, so you can easily switch back and forth between tabs with other pages loaded and those pages can use the full window state.
You can also easily rearrange the pages to have them appear like you want, i.e make one larger or smaller without the need to adjust the others separately.
Multiple windows are useful to have one or more visible all the time, so if that is what you prefer then go for multiple windows.

cor-el,

I normally never need to see more than one page at a time. Sometimes I keep another as an icon on the task bar for quick reference.

cor-el,

No need to respond. Sometimes these questions seem so easy then get very complicated. I have 5 solutions for 40 answers not a very good percentage is it? My first solution was exciting, do you remember your first solution?

Sorry for interference (between David and you), I would like to know, if you are using any of the Add-on you have provided the links earlier and which one is good and easy?

PS* I open more than two and three tabs for reference and that is why may be those add-on could help me. Thank you.

No problem this is your question line. I am sure cor-el has an answer. Perhaps cor-el is busy with other problems. You may get more answers from more firefox users if you ask a new question such as " has anyone used any of these add-ons .........." then you can ask follow up question on performance and ease of use.

I have only used one of these extensions once in the past as a test (probably split panel), so I can't give advice. You can check out the screenshots on the add-ons page of each of them to get an impression and start with the one that looks best.
