I can't remove Delta Search Engine or Toolbar, and I've deleted them from my control panel, reset Firefox, removed the Extentions, and changed the auto:config.

I've done everything! I've tried everything, and it seems to work at first. But when I close Firefox and then re-open it later, there Delta is, and I have to redo what I did before. It just keeps replacing itself! I have McAfee, but it hasn't done anything or even detected a problem. What should I do? I REALLY want this off my computer.

Go to control panel. Uninstall BrowserProtect or similar program (run anti-malware scan to identify them). Then repeat resetting browser . Delta Search installs programs that restores browser settings even when plugin is uninstalled. Here a video on how to find that program.

Try to uninstall Delta or any other suspicious programs thru the control panel, then run a Adware/Malware Cleaner such as MalwareBytes Anti-Malware OR AdwCleaner

Make sure to close any affected browsers during uninstall, and right after that scan with MBAM then AdwCleaner. Another Warning is that Adwcleaner will auto-reboot your computer, which is a safe thing to do now. After that, hopefully Delta is gone from everywhere, even regedit.

Try this:

Link to "Remove Delta-search,com Redirect (Delta Search Engine and Toolbar)" page at deletemalware.blogspot, com removed by moderator. The guide links to a malware removal tool that starts a SpyHunter-Installer.exe download. Enigma Software's SpyHunter is a questionable product that may be difficult to uninstall. The "free" scanner only detects malware and requires payment before malware is actually removed. (ref. 1 ... ref. 2)

And also scan your computer with AdwCleaner.

Folks,

DO NOT go to that site, here is the Web of Trust link which explains why:

I spent some time getting this "application" off of my wife's laptop. Please use http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ for the removal process, thanks.

by using sites like Cnet and Softpedia to install programs is how you get Delta Search and other malware, a good replacement is snapfiles.com

I was able to get rid of mine. It was an unwanted add-on! Simple to delete! Go to Tools then Add-ons.

I got rid of it first, uninstalling with control panel, any programm from "conduit" and all suspicious names and then runing Adwcleaner. I had to run it twice (!) to complete the job.
