Microsoft Word Web apps crash every time

Before updating to the latest firefox, the web apps worked fine. Now, i get the error "Sorry, we ran into a problem". I create and edit these documents at school, so I know that the problem is with the browser. Microsoft Support said that the problem is with the ApplicationHost.conf file, and that

"This issue occurs when a setting in Internet Information Services turns on dynamic compression for .zip files. However, .zip files are already compressed and do not have to have dynamic compression turned on. Therefore, Silverlight cannot handle the result from the server and the Word Web application crashes."

however, their fix is IE specific. So my question is, how do I disable dynamic compression in Firefox. Also, if you think the error is due to something else, or if there are other solutions I could try, let me know.

To be more specific, I create and edit these documents at school, which uses chrome. At home, with firefox, the web app refuses to open.
