After installing Firefox 12 I fet a monitoring request to allow maintenanceservice.exe to instal and run at start-up is this genuine?

If this is genuine, Firefox should warn users in advance that this type of request may appear. This applies to any subsidiary programs that Firefox wishes to instal - permissions are required to be given by many of your users - don't just spring these programs on us. First, I need to know whether this one is genuine or not.

Thanks, but in future could you please send some installation information whenever something like this is required to be installed. Don't know about others, but I certainly do not push the "yes" button when something unknown pops up and seeks permission.

When you say "...could you please...", I get the feeling that you think I'm a developer or Mozilla employee. I'm not. The people that answer questions here are users just like you, volunteering their time.
