When I go to www.google.com and make a search if I try to ammend the search and try searching it the first search statement gets searched again

If I enter a search string in google at the site below and click search button I get a list of search results. If I then ammend the search string and click the search button instead of doing a new search with the new search string it displays the results of the first search and even the ammended search string returns back to how it was before ammending.
