How do I organzie and delete bookmarks in my short toolbar list.
I'm on a Mac OS X 10.4.7. My Firefox version is 3.6.23. I want to organize my shorter bookmarks toolbar list. It has duplicates and bookmarks I never wanted and it recently has moved my gmail account to the bottom of the list.

I looked under organizing bookmarks and clicked on bookmarks toolbar, but the options when I right click are "new bookmark, new folder, copy, sort by name". "Delete" is grayed out, probably because I haven't selected something. But my list which has what i want deleted isn't in that folder anywhere. I tried looking this up, but though someone wrote in two questions, my question was the second one and was not addressed. it seems I was able to do this before. But not any more. In summary, where to I go to access my toolbar list in order to organize it and delete bookmarks?
Thanks a ton!
PS I tried deleting items to add them back in but they are just replaced by random Bookmarks I visited weeks ago. I guess this group draws from a list from somewhere. So I'm constantly deleting bookmarks off it I don't want. Frustrating.
I give up. I gotta life to lead.
A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
