I don't want any more FF updates. (Using 3.6.20) Nothing improves the performance. Sites do not fully download. Buttons are invisible. I can't even see the boxes to fill in for my question. Please tell me how to turn off the update notices. Why is this browser so finicky it demands that I make all kinds of changes to my computer? IE never does!!

It is certainly your choice, so here's how to do it:


Tools > Options > Advanced > Update

And then uncheck whatever you don't want Firefox to check updates for.
