I can open my Firefox for a few days, and then it won't open I click it to open. Do I have to keep downloading it every few days or so? Tell me how to correct this problem.

Today I clicked on Firefox icon to open it, and it would not open. I had done several times. This has happened several times before and I had downloaded it and reinstalled it. It would work for a few days and then when I went to click on Firefox to open it, nothing. It would not open. Is there anything else I need to do to stop this from happening other than downloading Firefox again?
