When I try to download the upgrade, the little fox logo has a ø sign over it. I have read suggested fixes but am reluctant to trash my existing Firefox folder until I know this one will work.
I have a Mac G5, OS 10.5.8. I am notified of/encouraged to download the Firefox upgrade. I am unable to drag the ø fox into the system folder as instructed. This has happened 3 times over the past week.

Firefox 4+ versions aren't compatible with Power PC's.
For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0 & 5.0, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 .
