I am trying to set up sync on my Samsung Galaxy Tab wifi only, with no success. HELP!

I am trying to set up sync on my Samsung Galaxy Tab wifi only. Every time I click on connect on the Galaxy Tab, I get the 3 codes. On my laptop I open tools, options, sync, add a device. I enter the 3 codes and click enter.Then I get the message to "Please Try Again." I've done this about 15 times with no success. Why won't this work?
