Windows XP crashes following install of firefox 4

Since installing firefox 4 last Thursday, windows XP will crash occasionally. I have disables all plug-ins and taken the hardware acceleration off - this appears to have made it more stable but it still occasionally crashes. Virus checked, no issues there. No problems when just running IE. I'm running XP SP3 on an old ish HP p4 2.4Ghz machine with 1.5Gb RAM and a PNY Nvidea Geforce 6200 card with 256Mb Crashed when I tried to first send this!
